Good old Russia, they went into Mariupol to “save” its people and yet there’s 12 times as many dead people in the first six months of war - just from Mariupol and its surrounding villages - than were killed across the entire duration of the Euromaidan/Donbas conflicts over an 8 year period.
For those who are math impaired, a conservative estimate would suggest that since Russia’s Special Military Operation began, the civilian kill rate has gone up by an impresive 9600%.
If that’s when they were being “careful” not to take out civilians, one dreads to think how many would’ve died if they’d been ambivalent. The only positive is, it’s quite some way short of the minimum 1.2 million civilian casualties that their pundits on TV were projecting about inflicting on Ukraine FOLLOWING a successful takeover of the country.
