Welp, we have pretty much depleted our own military equipment and munitions inventories, so yeah, let’s send billions to Taiwan despite our acceptance of the One China policy “where the United States stated that the government of the People’s Republic of China was the sole legal Government of China and Washington acknowledged the Chinese position that Taiwan was part of China.
Awesome sauce.
Did you read the article? We’re SELLING weapons to Taiwan. We’re not giving them away.
Don’t matter. Why are we even doing anything over there?
Are we utter idiots and simply think we can provoking and spitting in China’s face with no eventual consequences?
Taiwan is buying this material.
Not only is it a net positive for the US, it looks entirely too small to me. Possibly 5 or 6 times this much might be noticed by China.
Biden asks Congress for more inflation fuel burn baby burn.
It's a stupid situation, but Taiwan makes the lion's share of CPUs and other processors, globally. It would stupid for us to allow China to control all that. We have a huge strategic interest in Taiwan's independence.
