Judge GRANTS Trump’s request to have a special master review documents seized in Mar-a-Lago raid - as its revealed FBI agents took medical records from ex-President’s home

A federal judge in Florida has granted Donald Trump's request to have a special master review the documents seized during the raid on Mar-a-Lago – granting a key demand of the former president and tapping the breaks on the government's investigation.

Judge Aileen Cannon approved Trump's motion to appoint a special master 'to review the seized property for personal items and documents and potentially privileged material subject to claims of attorney client and/or executive privilege.'

The Trump-appointed judge also 'temporarily enjoins' the government from 'reviewing and using the seized materials' pending the completion of the review.

That grants Trump and his legal team a side benefit of stalling the fast-moving proceedings that have unfolded since the August 8 FBI search of Mar-a-Lago.

As long as this Special Master does not leak.
The leaks have/will come from "confidential sources" >> DOJFBIDEMS.

From Wikipedia...

“She ruled in favor of Donald Trump on September 5, 2022, and surprisingly enjoined the Department of Justice from using the materials seized from Donald Trump’s home in any criminal investigation, an unexpected move which has no precedence in the law.”

Sounds like an indictment, if there is one, will be long in coming.

Anything that stalls and drags this out past the 2022 elections is helpful in short term to Trump.

I’ve read that not all of the cameras were off or remained off.

Lets not jump to conclusions.

The final conclusion? DOJ and FBI are totally Rogue and far far outside the power of the Fed Gov under the US Constitution.

“Heard it could take months.”

I heard YEARS! After the 2024 election at least...

We’re talking “John Durham speed”. There’s 3rd speed, 2nd, 1st, low, ultra-low, and Durham.

From the conclusion: "On or before September 9, 2022, the parties shall meaningfully confer and submit a joint filing that includes:

a. a list of proposed special master candidates

The government's proposed list:

1) Mr. Andrew Weissman

2) Ms. Lisa Page

3) Mr. Peter Strzok

4) Mr. Kevin Clinesmith

...and so on.

I skimmed through it and it does not appear it is very sympathetic to the government in this case. Some of the footnotes in fact were scathing.

See p. 10 of the document where the judge outlines the potential damage to Trump and his reputation if the relief requested is not granted. I quote partially from her reasoning (BOLD is my emphasis):

Further, Plaintiff is at risk of suffering injury from the Government’s retention and potential use of privileged materials in the course of a process that, thus far, has been closed off to Plaintiff and that has raised at least some concerns as to its efficacy, even if inadvertently so... Finally, Plaintiff has claimed injury from the threat of future prosecution and the serious, often indelible stigma associated therewith. As the Richey court wrote, “a wrongful indictment is no laughing matter; it often works a grievous, irreparable injury to the person indicted. The stigma cannot be easily erased. In the public mind, the blot on a man’s escutcheon, resulting from such a public accusation of wrongdoing, is seldom wiped out by a subsequent judgment of not guilty. Frequently, the public remembers the accusation, and still suspects guilt, even after an acquittal.” ... As a function of Plaintiff’s former position as President of the United States, the stigma associated with the subject seizure is in a league of its own. A future indictment, based to any degree on property that ought to be returned, would result in reputational harm of a decidedly different order of magnitude.

“””This is too late. The FBI has already reviewed, altered, and supplemented the evidence in their pursuit to incarcerate Trump.”””

“They may have done what you write, BUT they can’t use it.”

Absent a protective order, they sure can use it. Carefully crafted evidence will be admitted.

Trump does not act like he is worried!!
He looks better than ever and sounds as great as ever.... He sure doesn’t look his age... and he has withstood all that has come at him ..

I sometimes think about that. His personality is definitely quite different from my own. I’d be a wreak, even if I was totally innocent. But Trump, he just smiles, drops an insult bomb on his enemies, and rocks on. The man is really quite amazing. I guess he has to be to withstand the endless onslaught of his enemies.

Bill Barr, the ignorant, traitorous, prevaricating Judas Iscariot, was proven totally wrong once again.   (He also has recently revealed why he did not release the information he had about Hunter Biden's laptop before the 2020 election, claiming he didn't want that information to influence people's votes.   In other words, he was capable of handling the truth, but the American voters were not capable of handling the truth, or to make proper decisions based on the whole truth.   He is a filthy, lying, evil, stinking scum-bucket, on the side of Satan.)

So all those “experts” like Bill Barr and Andy McCarthy were wrong when they said the judge would deny Trump’s request. Shows how dumb they are, lol.

So true, but now they will say the judge “ was wrong” and cite some convoluted reasoning.
