Well its safe to assume that the foreign government already know what their nuclear capabilities are. So who exactly are we hiding this information from other than the American public? And why?

I can go to Wikipedia and get a “document” like that for pretty much any country on this planet.
I guess it could be said that if it is an ally, we would not want our enemies and their enemies to know this information. If it is an enemy, we would not want them to know we have this information and that we have the capability of obtaining their secrets.
The know their own capabilities of course, but what they don’t know is how much we know about their capabilities.
