For a municipality of under 80,000 people, we have seven of ten deputies agreeing to submit a petition to the State Duma for their consideration. It’d be the equivalent of the city council of Burbank, CA submitting a petition to Congress.
If it actually gets a passing vote in the Duma, then I’ll be interested.

A deputy in the Duma just got a seven-year sentence for objecting to the war. A journalist just got a 22-year sentence (treason) for objecting to the war.
