You must remember that Russia’s game is chess, whereas the US games are football and poker. Fortunately, it appears that Putin’s chess abilities are a bit overrated. (British understatement) Chess requires intense concentration on the thinking patterns of one opponent, and the specific options of the pieces and the board. Football requires large scale cooperation among a number of unpredictibly mobile players. This is not an activity for people disciplined by a tyranny. Poker requires assessing the behavior and visible and conjectured assets of several other players, plus the chance luck of the cards. Also not a game suited to the thinking patterns of tyrants and their minions who may need to make independent decisions.

Why bother “reading people’s actions” when your expectation is they will do what you want or be eliminated?

If Milley is saying that, then it’s a good bet that Russia will soon win this war.

I predict General Millie will be the Next President of the United States when the GOP wins back the House and Senate—A coup of the JOint Chiefs (supported by the Democratic Party, Facebook, Media) will move to “save Democracy” He will have Trump arrested, Fox news shut down, and start the purges of all who are fascists in the nation. Gov. DeSantis and Perry will be arrested as well. UN troops called in to establish order in Rebellious States and towns. This will happen in January 2023. Election overturned so Nancy Pelosi can continue to rule in House. New Elections to be held at some time in the future.

Vlad has taken 98 percent of the ethnic Russian territories. Let’s see the next chapter, his “ buffer zone”, and then possibly Odessa.

Same “ stuff” was prematurely said by the Ukie before he took Mariupol, it was the largest concentration of Azov Neo Nazis. Vlad is much like Trump, a strong leader, does what he says, and has huge support from his population…..the direct opposite of all the current western “ leadership”.

“As Kiev has banned journalists from the frontlines of the ‘offensive’ in Kherson Region, the Washington Post sent a reporter to a hospital in the rear area. Soldiers with “severed limbs, shrapnel wounds, mangled hands and shattered joints” told the Post about the “lopsided disadvantages” the Ukrainian army faces on the Kherson front. The Russians have more and better artillery, drones that can fly with impunity a kilometer high, and counter-battery radars that can call fire on Ukrainians’ heads within minutes, according to the US outlet.

Russian troops even hack and hijack Ukrainian drones, which “drift away helplessly behind enemy lines,” the paper said.

“We lost five people for every one they did,” Igor, a 30-year-old platoon leader with a back injury, told the Post.

“When we turn on mobile phones or radio, they can recognize our presence immediately,” another soldier named Denis said. “And then the shooting starts.”

“They were just hitting us all the time,” said Aleksandr, who had lost an arm in the fighting. “If we fire three mortars, they fire 20 in return.”

On Wednesday, Ukrainian troops “made no offensive actions” on that front due to losses, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a briefing.

While Kiev claims it has taken several villages, its claims could not be verified because journalists have been banned from the front. According to the Post, some of its reporters came within five kilometers of Visokopolye on Monday but were stopped by Ukrainian troops and “could not ascertain its status.”

Kiev is “hoping that the Kherson counteroffensive will boost national morale and demonstrate to Western governments that their billions of dollars in economic and military assistance is paying off,” the Post said….”

More of your Russian lies, nobody ever said that

we all just want Russia to get along with its neighbors, but it can't / won't do that, because Russia is addicted to blood & plunder, not peace

so we'll just stop doing business with Russia and watch it shrink thru its own stupidity

Willy Milly is a woke communist POS, but even a complete moron can spot a quagmire.

If Iraq went like this (deaths aproaching ‘Nam levels, no victory in sight), Bush would have been impeached/renoved from office by now (in 2003).

Meanwhile, Europe will be burning their dead to stay warm this winter.

They made their deals with Greta and Putin.

They can buy our LNG and pay us to frak their old wells.

If not, F-them. They voted to freeze to death. Not our problem.

Maybe shivering in the dark for 6 months will wake them up.

“I thought the Putinistas were still saying they haven’t sent in the “varsity” players yet...”

LOL, three of their most elite, best equipped, best trained units were decimated in under a month.

2nd “Taman” Guards Motor Rifle Division

4th “Kantemir” Guards Tank Division

98th Guards Airborne Division

Both the 2nd and 4th are the ones you see parading around Moscow every year with all the latest equipment. They were the “best of the best” with the highest percentage of professional soldiers and NCO’s of any of the Guards formations. They were the most politically reliable, best trained, and equipped.

Milly said their Strategic objectives have been defeated.

The plan was to take Odessa and link up with Transnistria (Russian State TV said this was Putin's Objective)

There are 5 missing bridges over fast flowing water preventing this from ever happening.

It will become a Russian quagmire, if it hasn't already.

This Russian Sniper's face says it all (Filmed by him while retreating back over the Dnipr pontoon bridge under a HIMARS barage Tuesday:

In a year, there will be 200,000 damaged Russias young men just like him, that fought for nothing.

Remember: He uploaded this video, not Ukes.

How many good officers were retired during the 8 years of Obama for “Loss of Confidence?”. That’s culling the heard so mediocrities like Austin & Milley can rise to the top.

I’m sorry you misunderstood my sentence “Why bother “reading people’s actions” when your expectation is they will do what you want or be eliminated?”

I was responding to your comment that the Pooty Pal you were responding to did not value “reading people’s actions.” My thought was that Russian tyrants and collaborators would not value the skill you mentioned because they would expect people to obey or else. The word “your” did not refer to you, but to the generic “your expectations” of tyrants and Putin collaborators.

Are we now to assume Mark Milly is being truthful ??

Wasn’t he the same guy who oversaw the withdrawal from Afghanistan ??

Wasn’t the same guy who openly defied the POTUS when Trump was leaving office and basically plotted a coup by calling China to say, if Trump launches anything, I’ll call to let you know ??

Now we are taking his word that Russia’s strategic objectives have been defeated, my point is he could be right, but given his past history he could be lying his ass off to the American people to avoid another embarrassing adventure under his leadership.

No one, not you, not me or anyone else who hasn’t been there really knows what’s happening on the ground or what Russia’s objectives are, the people telling us what they are in this country have a history of lying and misleading the American People.

I will wait until this is all over when everyone will find out what was real and what was lies.

Willy Milly is 100% POS but, things have fallen apart for Russia in Ukraine in the last week and they are losing ground they may never get back.

I’m watching geolocated videos that are pretty hard to fake (though they are so devastating for the Russians who uploaded them, I figured they had to be fake... but they were real) and there are literally hundreds of dead Russians in the last few days. Yes, maybe we aren’t seeing dead Ukrainians, but they are fighting for something other than money. The Russian soldiers are not.

There is ZERO EVIDENCE the Russians had the capability to advance through Mykolaiv and take Odessa since March, and now those chances are the LOWEST of the war.

Taking Odessa, controlling all the Black sea ports, linking up with Transnistria WERE Putin’s Strategic Objectives. His Puppets on state TV were saying as much as late as July.

Ukraine is an objective Quagmire. Even an idiot like Milly can recognize it. 10 years from now, Putin will be hated by Russians, just like we ALL hate GWB.

It’s Ironic how the Putin fans on FR call those enjoying the Russian army getting destroyed “Neocons”. What they hated about Neocons is 10X with Putin.

F-that-dude and horse he rode in shirtless on. The Putins of the world justify governments giving power to the WEF and not the opposite. The world is better off with out him.

Putin invaded with 175,000 troops and faced about 196,000 Ukrainians.

Not the 1:3 difference you falsely claim.

Putin declared it a special operation, indicating a few weeks.

The bulk of Putin’s offensive is by Russian troops, not dpr or lpr.

Ukrainians have got the Russians to retreat from north of Kyiv and now from the north east and south of the country.

Russia is weakened due to Putin’s ego
