The office of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has told FWI it will be removing the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as a partner in its Faith and Community Initiative.
In 2019, the governor founded the Governor's Faith and Community Initiative "to facilitate the efforts of the state's faith-based entities by improving communication and collaboration among them," according to Dylan Fisher, the program's director.
On August 18, a Facebook post by the Florida branch of CAIR claimed to be a leading member of the initiative, declaring, "Governor Ron DeSantis recently presented CAIR-Florida with a Certificate of Recognition for our continued work in service of the vulnerable populations of Floridians."

“Not a smart political move by DeSantis, as he now loses the terrorist vote”.
I wish more governors and mayor’s etc would do stuff like this- punish those who are always pushing and testing how far the opposition will be pushed. The reason. The left are getting away with utter nonsense is because governors will not say “that woke crap won’t fly in my state! Take your nonsense elsewhere, you arent welcome here with it!’

Agreed. If enough republican leaders were to say “enough, NO MORE!” And not back down, the left would crumble into a mass of hysterical weeping fools. But sadly that is not what happens. The right attempt to take a stand, the left threaten boycotts, or threaten doxing, or whatever, and the right cave like wet paper houses.
Hopefully Kari lake, mgt, and desantis and a few other tougher gop will be able to help the jelly spined gop find the courage to make a stand agaisnt the left, and start to turn tnis country around again and put a stop to the nonsense of the left.

It should never have been in a government program in the first place. Michael Savage’s lawsuit proved CAIR is simply a front for terrorist organizations.
