Although the establishment media claimed that inflation fell in August, American households did not get any relief in the grocery store aisles.

The price of food at home jumped 0.7 percent compared with the previous month. Over the past 12 months, grocery prices have gone up 13.5 percent.

ome of the biggest increases in food include:

Ham up 2.5 percent from July and 9.2 percent compared with a year ago. Frankfurters (hot dogs) up 5.3 percent from July and 18.3 percent compared with a year ago. Eggs up 2.9 percent from July and 39.8 percent compared with a year ago. Bread up 2.2 percent from July and 16.2 percent compared with a year ago. Doughnuts up 2.0 percent from July and 14.1 percent compared with a year ago. Pickles up 4.0 percent from July and 19.4 percent compared with a year ago. Margarine up 7.3 percent from July and 38.3 percent compared with a year ago. Butter up 2.7 percent from July and 24.6 percent compared with a year ago. Sugar up 1.8 percent from July and 15.9 percent compared with a year ago. Potatoes up 3.1 percent from July and 15.2 percent compared with a year ago. Lettuce up 10.7 percent from July and 0.8 percent compared with a year ago.

Anyone who votes Democrat is a disgusting idiot.

I liked to think I had a nice amount of savings for retirement.

Now I realize these leftist scum have destroyed the value of our savings and earnings and put us all at further risk.

2 years ago I could buy a rack of baby back ribs to smoke for about $13-14 a rack. They’re now going for $20-22 at my locale.

Just last week an economist / statistician said that, if computed as it was in 1980, inflation would be 17-18%. Just think what it would be if defined as it was in 1970! These inflation numbers have been tweaked and manipulated for political gain for decades. Many items at my local Safeway have gone up 50-100%, and a few items have even tripled in price. I’m beginning to think many retailers are using inflation as an excuse to raise prices (i.e., raise prices more than inflation alone would dictate).

6-pk sodas up 10% over last week.

From $4.99 to $5.49.

That’s way more than 0.7 percent.

Walmart bakery bread was $1.00 in July. Now it’s $1.47. That’s a bit more than 8.5% inflation.

We’re becoming Planet Algon...

This is the planet Algon, fifth world in the system of Aldebaran, the Red Giant in the constellation of Sagittarius. Here an ordinary cup of drinking chocolate costs four million pounds, an immersion heater for the hot-water tank costs over six billion pounds, and a pair of split-crotch panties would be almost unobtainable. (cut to a budget-day-type graphic, with a picture of the product and the price alongside) A simple rear window de-misting device for an 1100 costs eight thousand million billion pounds and a new element for an electric kettle like this (picture of electric kettle) would cost as much as the entire gross national product of the United States of America from 1770 to the year 2000, (graphic of American GNP) and even then they wouldn’t be able to afford the small fixing ring which attaches it to the kettle. (graphic of an electric kettle showing all the separate pieces detatched from each other, arrow points to the fixing ring)

When I went to my local McDonald’s to buy a Big Mac meal (medium) and the bill waS over $10, the DemocRATS’ inflation tax really hit home and sunk in. Folks don’t realize that it’s A TAX to pay for all their spending and THEIR UKRAINIAN FIASCO (plus more upcoming fiascos) and it’s A TAX THAT WE ALL WILL PAY FOR THE REMAINDER OF OUR LIVES. And so will ALL our children.

At Stop n Shop I noticed a significant rise in the price of pasta and olive oil. Filippo Berio EVO recently was going for $9.99 a litre. Yesterday it was $11.99. DeCicco Pasta went for $2.29 a pound. Yesterday it was $2.89. I was surprised as both of these are produced in Italy and foreign products had seemed to withstand inflation. But now that’s no longer true. Meats are ridiculous. Chopped Chuck $6.99 lb. Chicken cutlets $8.99 lb. And that’s not for the Bell and Evans, but for the Stop n Shop chicken. And it’s only gonna get worse.
