Iowa police chief on leave after FBI raid

ADAIR, Iowa (KCCI) - The police chief in Adair is on paid leave following an FBI raid at his city office and at least one gun store he owns.

The mayor of Adair confirmed to KCCI Chief Brad Wendt is off the job for now. The Adair city attorney confirms he is under investigation.

The FBI and ATF came to Wendt’s office last Wednesday with warrants.

The ATF and FBI also searched BW Outfitters, a gun store housed in an Anita building supply store. A report from Radio Iowa says Wendt owns the BW gun store in Anita and another gun store in Dennison where he lives.

The mayor of Adair told KCCI that Chief Wendt is now on a paid leave of absence.

I first heard of this FBI raid in a restaurant the other week-- overheard 2 farmers talking about it. From what I overheard, this raid involved the ATF and FBI as the story above confirms. What the farmers also mentioned, that's not in the above story, is the feds supposedly confiscated a lot of firearms and more importantly, records of firearm sales. Rumor had it that either the shop owner and/or employees were making disparaging or threatening remarks about the Biden regime.

From what I heard from an aquaintenace, this dealer (who is also a POLICE CHIEF) is a good source for getting rare/unusual weapons that aren't available from "regular" gun shops.

So was he raided because, as a law enforcement figure, he's a threat to the Biden regime? Or because the regime wants lists of people more likely to have the good weaponry (fully automatic weapons, etc)? Maybe both?

These raids, without any real probable cause, seem to be a daily occurrence now.

With all these raids/phone confiscations and home “visits” across the Country, it brings to mind the response that liberals inevitably give when confronted with the subjects of election fraud or Obama's birth certificate; “it would be impossible given the sheer number of people who would have to be involved” yet the FIB and DOJ are framing that very argument for the “insurrection” and domestic terrorism play they're currently peddling.
