The credit for the last-minute deal to avert a national freight rail strike that would have disrupted supply chains and passenger travel is being given to Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh — after Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and President Joe Biden were both out of town during the crucial negotiations.
As Breitabrt News reported, Buttigieg and Biden were at the Detroit Auto Show on Wednesday, touting their support for electric vehicles, which receive billions of dollars in subsidies in the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” (which even some supporters acknowledge does nothing about short-term inflation).

Even biden's brain deadness is a put on (imo).
There are too many times he can talk like a rational commie and totally flub a general announcement
Ditto - eleventh-hour settlement and they give Biden the credit.
Shameless
I am no fan of Petey, but this was a labor issue. It would become a transportation issue tomorrow.
They could not have Biden anywhere near the settlement lest he mess up the optics with some outrageous comments or tried to shake hands with the air or look around lost. This way the propaganda media can give the Biden Administration full credit for something that never even happened.
The sheep will not realize this was all a set up. “The brilliant Biden Administration averted a nation crippling strike”. The Union was not about to send the country into stage 4 misery just before the mid terms.
“Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and President Joe Biden were both out of town during the crucial negotiations.”
Neither have the expereince nor the ability to negotiate - in fact likely just get in the way - which is Bidens MO on everything.
Inflation iis about to surge even higher. Thanks dems.
Didn’t Obama say more than once :”Trust Joe to F’ Up anything.” ???
Not the largest or worst case of inflation causing acts. I am having a hard time being too mad about people doing important work getting a raise.
I suppose I should tell my customers I am going to charge 25% more just for “equity” with the rail union wages.
