We should offer to take in all of the Ukraine widows and orphans. In return SSI taxes should be eliminated-a vote getter. The seniors, in return just might offer to help them out directly. Many are well-to-do and don’t know what to do with themselves.
They could take them in. That’s heavy lifting. Churches can then do their part to support them.
SSI is given to older, financially disabled people who can’t work. You have to prove everything, and social security doctors must examine you and often find even more wrong than you eben complaned about.
SSA is money that each worker sets aside from their paychecks during their working years. That one isn’t welfare.
The sad part is the government spends it for itself. That’s why it’s running short.
That’s what needs to be addressed and made public.
