Those very much are not the same thing.

Politically speaking they are the same thing. Whatever the federal law says it will preempt state laws. As soon as the law is created it would become a perpetual federal wedge issue for the liberal Democrats. They'll fund raise on it, they will fight it, and they will win elections based on it.

And then they will amend the law to say 30 weeks, and then 36 weeks. And we will all be stuck with that law forever.

The Supreme Court did us all a big favor by returning the regulation of a medical procedure to the states, where it belongs.

Graham brought up the issue to damage the chances of Republicans in November, and to give the Democrat party back the national issue they lost when the court overturned Roe v. Wade.

Support for early abortion is very different than for late term. Confusing one with the other is intentional.

If the Federal Gov allows abortions up to 15 weeks won't that prevent states from choosing to have more restrictive laws and basically codify Roe v Wade? Also it will make it easier for the evil ones to change it to 16 weeks or 20 weeks or 30 weeks incrementally?

No way Linda!
