The way the states handled the abortion issue in some cases has turned off a lot of people, voters, to the republican party. The almost total ban, and some states a total ban, without the state legislatures actually asking people what they wanted has turned a lot of people against the republican party. It could have been handled better and now I believe the republican party will not do as well in the midterm elections as some thought they would.

They might gain some seats in the house but I doubt they will gain enough seats in the senate to control it. I am working in my state to support republican candidates for office but they are spending way too much of their time and resources responding to the abortion question, trumps legal problems and not enough time talking about what they want to do for the country.

Graham sure as he** isn’t doing this country or the republican party any favors with his little stunt. If the democrats hold on or even keep control there will nobody to blame except the leaders of the republican party who totally failed to read the electorate.

If a proposed national abortion ban supercedes in importance the need to fix a f**ked up economy with high inflation, stopping runaway crime in many of our cities and protecting a wide open border in the minds of a majority of Americans then one can put a fork in this nation. We will be finished!
