Absolutely right. Why use a pair of simple words when “Holes with intense gravity from which electromagnetic radiation cannot escape” is not offensive to anybody?
Hmmm…maybe not. Humans without a front hole might be offended. And “escape” is offensive to the few people still in prison. Or “intense” might offend all milquetoasts.
