Alexei Bayer: Will Trump face a military coup?
July 29, 2018
https://www.kyivpost.com/article/opinion/op-ed/alexei-bayer-will-trump-face-a-military-coup.html
...However, over the past year and a half America has changed beyond recognition. Who could’ve imagined that a US President would lie on average three times per day, attack the free press and the judiciary and side with a foreign enemy against the CIA and the FBI? Who could’ve thought that the Republicans would gleefully punch holes in the Federal budget and embrace Russia? Whose sick mind could’ve envisioned the Evangelicals thanking the Lord for a libertine in the White House? For that matter, who could’ve predicted that Donald Trump of all people would one day become the Leader of the Free World?...
I'll bet this d-bag is firmly attached to Joe The Puppet King's posterior...
It is your guy Biden who is the one who supports this war. Don’t try to turn the truth.
An election has to happen before anyone can try to say it was actually stolen.
Your guy Biden did steal an election.
That’d be a beautiful site there. A completely nonexistent Russia.
Incorrect. I suggest you work on your reading comprehension.
Case in point you have quoted me incorrectly in your post. I never said anything about “talking points” which suggests there is a discussion being allowed for. I said narrative - because that is what it is. The media labelled this a “sham” referendum before Putin’s speech occurred (source: BBC) and I heave heard this exact word repeated ad nauseam since then - without debate or proof beyond the stereotypical “Russians always lie”. How do we / you know it to be a sham before it has happened?
In any event my post was (I thought) pretty clearly pointing out the hypocrisy of persons such as yourself who would not shut up about the 2020 election being stolen and the media’s repeated use of the phrase “most secure election ever” as being the penultimate lie... and who are now repeating the words “sham, sham, sham” like mindless drones - after hearing it from the exact same media outlets that were oh-so untrustworthy two years (days?) ago.
He’s just one in many taking the position Russian is ultimately going to lose this gambit in Ukraine. Whether you agree with his premise or not, the Russian industrial capacity is a shell of what it once was.
This will not end well for Putin.
“The media labelled this a “sham” referendum before Putin’s speech occurred (source: BBC) and I heave heard this exact word repeated ad nauseam since then...”
Well, yeah, because it’s perfectly valid to refer to a “referendum” held by an invading and occupying power during wartime as a “sham”. Nobody with any sense would actually object to that assessment.
And there is no “hypocrisy” to people who point out that the 2020 election had irregularities and that this “referendum” is a sham. Both of those are true. Telling the truth consistently is not “hypocrisy”, no matter how hard you try to spin it.
Again my friend I suggest you learn to read.
“And there is no “hypocrisy” to people who point out that the 2020 election had irregularities and that this “referendum” is a sham. Both of those are true. Telling the truth consistently is not “hypocrisy”, no matter how hard you try to spin it.”
Where did I say anything of the sort? In my most recent post to you I elaborated that the same people echoing the media’s word of choice are likely the same people who said the media could not be trusted in their descriptions of the 2020 election. Never said a word about anyone who doubted the 2020 election being a hypocrites (hypocritical of what?). I myself believe the election was stolen (not that there were irregularities to use your Mickey Mouse characterisation).
You seem to be having a hard time with this and trying to bend my words to your own perspective.
“Well, yeah, because it’s perfectly valid to refer to a “referendum” held by an invading and occupying power during wartime as a “sham”. Nobody with any sense would actually object to that assessment.”
Oh it’s perfectly valid for the media (BBC in the example I gave) to state that a referendum that had not even been announced yet is a sham. Good to know. Evidently you are the sort who will believe what they are told to in advance of events actually occurring (let alone after the fact).
All things being equal having a referendum on the matter is much more fair than just imposing the solution on the areas in question, wartime or not.
“Where did I say anything of the sort?”
Right here:
“In any event my post was (I thought) pretty clearly pointing out the hypocrisy of persons such as yourself who would not shut up about the 2020 election being stolen and the media’s repeated use of the phrase “most secure election ever” as being the penultimate lie... and who are now repeating the words “sham, sham, sham” like mindless drones - after hearing it from the exact same media outlets that were oh-so untrustworthy two years (days?) ago.”
“Never said a word about anyone who doubted the 2020 election being a hypocrites (hypocritical of what?).”
You can’t sit there in one post accusing people of hypocrisy and then pretend you didn’t accuse people of hypocrisy when they point out that the charge is BS. Sorry, but you are just completely incoherent at this point.
“The majority of Ukrainian refugees, however — several million — have fled to regions controlled by Kyiv and abroad.”
The above being the case, the Ukraine govt. should try to contact as many of these people who can be proven as recent residents of these Putin referendum areas to also vote. This could be done by using addresses of tax payments or social security or other official Ukraine govt. contact addresses.
In addition the Ukraine govt. could appeal to the UN to supervise the vote count of all such votes collected by the elected Ukraine govt. If Russia would veto such a UN activity it would prove the SOBs they are to everyone.
Amazing that anyone thinks these people want to remain under Ukraine.
They asked Russia to come help them.
Two of these areas had a leap easy declared themselves as separaists.
Two of them have been shelled by the UKronazis for the last 8-9 years.
Ukraine told them to only speak, read, and watch tv in Ukrainian language.
Ukraine leader told them they lost their pensions - Russia restored them.
Ukraine leader told them to enjoy living in their basements ( prior to Zelensky).
In some places Ukraine took their water (Crimea) and denied them all infrastructure repair.
Name one reason they would not choose Russia as their country, but prefer Ukraine.
Really. Absurd to say their votes will be shams.
Already, not leap easy.
True. Too many people on this site who know that the media and the government have been lying to their faces for years, trust them on their trying to crush opposition to the globalist/deep-state hegemony.
Several countries have agreed to monitor.
I will see if I can find that info.
It is amazing how anyone thinks such a hurried vote could have any value or be fair since thousands of Russian speakers from the Donbas are fighting with the Ukrainian army against the Russians. I have friends and family there that can tell you the real story of Russian crimes preceding and including 2014.
That’s just too funny! Did you make that up or see it on CNN?
“The above being the case, the Ukraine govt. should try to contact as many of these people who can be proven as recent residents of these Putin referendum areas to also vote.”
Why would they want to do that and give any veneer of legitimacy to an illegal referendum?
I’ve traveled the Donbas. My wife is from Alchevsk. It is all laughs for you maybe. We are very serious about opposing the Russians.
What makes you think it was hurried? 😂😂😂😂😂
