Ethnicity
Russians: 51.6%
Ukrainians: 44.7%
Belarusians: 1.1%
Language
Russian: 83.6%
Ukrainian: 15.3%
Belarusian: 0.1%
Armenian: 0.1%
Romani: 0.1%

Well I think it will become part of Russia. 2001 but still.

I know a lot of Serbs who wanted Kosovo to stay with Serbia. Life is hard.

Look at us. Not many colonists wanted to be free of England as I recall.

The word is freedom. Some of my wife’s extended family were sent to Solovki near the arctic circle. Moscow has made war against Ukraine for a long time. The “separatist” movements were started by Russians with agents, threats, bribes, propaganda, mafia tactics, disappearances, and finally troops (not native to Donbas).

lol ok Boogieman - whatever you need to tell yourself. You’re either not that bright or being wilfully dishonest.

“...the hypocrisy of persons such as yourself who would not shut up about the 2020 election being stolen and the media’s repeated use of the phrase “most secure election ever” as being the penultimate lie...”

Pretty clear I am specifically taking umbrage with those objectors who impugned the media’s characterisation of the election as being fair and secure and who are now parroting the same outlets characterisation of the referendum as being a sham - as I have explained in several posts.

If I am being “completely incoherent” it is only because I am having to address your misinterpretations and misquoting of my posts...I am guessing with your debating skills being what they are lots of people seem “incoherent” to you.

Sorry, you don’t get to accuse me of “hypocrisy” then pretend you didn’t in the next post when your accusation is countered. Get the hell out of here with that nonsense.

“debate at my level...”

You mean make an accusation, then try to pretend you didn’t one post later by piling up paragraph after paragraph of word salad?

No, I’m glad to say I never want to be at that level.

What will it do—Not much in the world—but its designed for Russians not people in other lands. IF accepted it means a whole new definition of the war. Frankly, he should have done this a year ago. It will be as fair as they wish it to be. As for Corruption—Ukraine has a known dose of that (like Russia) and to a degree—The USA. Once Donbas becomes a state of the Federation of Russia—any attack will be seen as an attack on all of Russia. (A bit like NATO—an attack on one is an attack on all). Then Ukraine has a choice-Let them go and make peace with Putin, or Declare war on Russia herself.

No.. Ukraine has the upper hand in warfighter quality, modern weaponry and motivation to defend their lives, families and homeland. Let Putin drag a gaggle of unmotivated, untrained, ill-equipped conscripts onto the battlefield. What Ukraine doesn’t chew up of those conscripts on the battlefield, they will in a subsequent insurgency.

As was proved in Afghanistan, time is not on Russia’s side. Ultimately, they will fail.

OT, but I don’t know if it deserves a separate thread? (Be my guest...)

You’d think they could at least make it look like less obvious causes, once in a while, but, maybe that’s the point.

Que up Queen...

You forget that thousands of Russian speakers from the Donbas are currently in the Ukrainian Army fighting Russians. I guess Putin will declare certain suburbs of Chicago part of Russia soon since there are so many ethnic Russians in places like Skokie, Illinois.

My wife is one of those Russian speakers from Alchevsk in Lugansk. Seems odd that so many of her family and friends are patriotic Ukrainians when Russia sez they should be clamoring to join the pigs and apes who invaded.

We also failed in Afghanistan—as did the British Empire—only foreigner to beat them was Alexander the Great—and he ended up marring an Afghan women Roxanne. Alexander is seen in the Islamic world almost like a saint

Perhaps so. I would assume Russia is on the war footing now. Can they manufacture tanks, trucks, ammunition like the Old Soviet Union? Remember there are 140 million people in Russia while there are only 40 million in Ukraine.

Yes we did fail in Afghanistan.. that is absolutely correct. What seems to be lost on the pro-Russia set is that the Ukrainians are equally willing to fight not to have their country or any part it gobbled up by a megalomaniacal KGB thug obsessed with recreating the Soviet Union, the demise of which he has often lamented. And unlike the Afghans before them, the Ukes are well-trained and well-equipped to do whatever it takes to win this.

Ridiculous map even if the world would be safer if Russia were to disappear (but who would fill the vacuum in Siberia?). But the Kaliningrad oblast should be divided between Poland and Lithuania (or returned to Germany) and Finland should get back the territories stolen by Stalin.

I spend a lot of time on Telegram where there are hundreds or more pro Russian Americans - just in the one chat room.

They are from Queens, Minnesota, Georgia (state), all over.
Loads of Italians. Some Brits. It is an English language chat. Not many Russians but plenty of Syrians.

Many many eastern Orthodox Christians like myself.

It always makes me laugh when people here think I am Russian.
Do you think Biden will keep us out of WW3? I think he is drooling to get it started.
Would you like to survive this fourth turning?

“History is seasonal and winter is coming. The very survival of the nation will feel at stake. Sometime before the year 2025, America will pass through a great gate in history, commensurate with the American Revolution, Civil War, and the twin emergencies of the Great Depression in World War II. The risk of catastrophe will be high. The nation could erupt into insurrection or civil violence, crack up geographically or succumb to authoritarian rule. If there is a war, it is likely to be one of maximum risk and effort – in other words, a total war. Every Fourth Turning has registered an upward ratchet in the technology of destruction, and in mankind’s willingness to use it.” (The Fourth Turning, Strauss & Howe, 1997)

Biden is talking about simultaneous wars with China, Iran and Russia.
I do love Russia but my primary thing is surviving Biden.

Check out some of the links I have posted in the last few days, just as posts. Biden is certifiable and he will get us nuked. He can’t stop talking about it.

I am tired of our hegemony and interventionism. Brics and Sco are making significant inroads at dedollarization. And countries around the world are lining up to join them.

You think the UK, Latvia, and Lithuania are going to help us survive WW3? The rest of eastern Europe are nearly rioting over heat and energy.

Russia has several million reservists they haven’t called. Ukraine is going to lose. We are going to lose. Xi and Putin are best friends. Pakistan, Iran, and North Korea would jump at the chance to nuke us, and they are in bed with Putin.

Making Ukrainians into cannon fodder isn’t the answer.
We are just trying to save off inflation and remain on top as a superpower...but that is already over. The new Multipolar world is right around the corner, no matter how many more people we let get killed with our weapons.

We need to be America First. The Chinese post about being amazed that 2 billion for Jackson, Miss to have water isn’t being supplied while we have spent 14 billion on weapons for Ukraine.
Enough. All empires end.
Stop the wars.
