BTW, it is a horrid photo. That photo did more to galvanize the anti-war movement than any other. From that day onward, public opinion turned steadily against the war in Vietnam and the protests only got stronger. Eventually the war became politically untenable and we pulled out.

American civil superiority prevailed. By contrast, what do you see in Russia?? Protesters given 15 years in prison. Protestors arrested and kicked just for standing with a sign. All opposition shut down. TV stations and newspapers closed.

America isn’t perfect (nothing is), but it is far superior to Russia’s despotism. Thanks for reminding us of that.
