Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated the head of missile forces and artillery of the 35th Army of the Russian Federation during a counteroffensive in Kharkiv region, - Butusov
On September 26, Russian media reported on the burial of Colonel Boris Totikov, head of the missile forces and artillery of the 35th Combined Arms Army of the Russian armed forces, on the territory of the Russian Federation. Also earlier, Russian sources reported that before the offensive near Balakleya, Ukrainian troops launched powerful strikes on the headquarters of Russian troops in the then-occupied Izyum in the Kharkiv region.
The news of Totikov's death confirms the data on significant losses of the Russian command as a result of the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the headquarters of the occupation army in Izyum. This was reported by journalist Yuri Butusov.
"Today there was information about the burial in the Russian Federation of the head of the missile forces and artillery of the 35th Combined Arms Army of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel Boris Totikov. Russian sources previously reported that on the eve of the Ukrainian offensive near Balakleya, the headquarters of Russian troops in Izyum was attacked by HIMARS missiles. It was the headquarters of the 35th Army that was responsible for managing the troops in this area, it was in their zone that a breakthrough occurred," Butusov said.

In his opinion, the news about the liquidation of Totikov indicates that information about significant losses among the high command of the occupation army in Izyum is confirmed.
"There are certain reasons to say that the Russian command in this area suffered significant losses. The chief of missile forces and artillery is one of the key links in modern warfare. Now it is clear that the defeat of the Russians was largely due to the loss of control and the accurate determination by Ukrainian intelligence of the deployment of Russian headquarters and their exact defeat," Butusov stressed.
Despite the high position of the liquidated invader, there are practically no photos of him on the web. And those that are available were made in 2010-13, when Totikov was between 35 and 37 years old. At the time of liquidation, the occupier lived to be 47 years old.
Earlier it was reported that on September 25 in Kherson liquidated the people's deputy-traitor Zhuravko. Just the day before, the collaborator, who was once a member of the parliamentary faction of the party of Regions, pointedly voted in a "referendum" and babbled about the annexation of the Ukrainian Kherson region to the Russian Federation.
Another one bites the dust!
From the propaganda from both sides...
Majors through Colonels are highly desirable targets that are taking, proportional, very high casualties.
Is the Russian term that is consistently translated as “liquidation”/”liquidated” the actual same word meaning in Russian?
Seems so inappropriate (in most cases).
It makes you wonder how company grade officers are doing.
Ukies, as par, claiming ‘victory’ via the alleged kill of ONE man, ONE soldier.
War/conflict is won!! Ukies kicking the sh*t out the Russians and are pushing them back to the very gates of the Kremlin.....
Good hunting guys!
If you knew anything about the military, you would know these ranks are considered “high value targets” and make a big difference when taken out.
Retired 14-year USAF PJ and your point is irrelevant to that which I was insinuating.
The bridge which you crawled from under is hollering for you to return to it.
Once Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia become Russian Federation territory, the gloves come off. And, the Russian military won't be fighting with one hand tied behind its back anymore.
But, who cares how many Ukrainians die. Ukrainian lives don't matter. All that matters is keeping the money flowing into Ukraine and laundered to the right places. Are getting a piece of the action, Mom? Or do just work for an organization that does? Or is all this good for the defense industry stock you hold?
Their blood is on the hands of anyone that continues to push them into continuing to fight a war Ukraine can't win.
Donald Trump was right -- a negotiated end to this war should have occurred months ago.
You've got blood on your hands, Timber, you sick bastard.
The Russians are obliterating villages and towns with indiscriminate rocket and artillery fire while the better trained Ukrainians are targeting ammo dumps, HQs, bridges, and vehicles. As a result the Russians are having far more casualties than the Russians.
Good hunting, Ukes... take them down!
Gosh, you’re absolutely right! How stupid of Ukraine to actually fight against that massive Russian invasion force.
They should have just surrendered on the first day and loyally served their new masters, right?
Whatta patriot…
“It makes you wonder how company grade officers are doing.”
Probably hoping to be passed up for promotion.
“If you knew anything about the military, you would know these ranks are considered ‘high value targets’ and make a big difference when taken out.”
cranked knows absolutely nothing about the military.
“Their blood is on the hands of anyone that continues to push them into continuing to fight a war Ukraine can’t win.”
Ukraine was the one who was invaded. Thus, Ukraine wins by not losing. But, you wouldn’t understand that.
Yes, of course I don’t, propaganda peddler.
The Ukrainian government does not usually disclose casualty figures, but the soldiers and commanders interviewed in the past week portrayed the battlefield losses as “high” and “massive.” They described large offensives in which columns of Ukrainian tanks and armored vehicles tried to cross open fields only to be pounded mercilessly by Russian artillery and blown up by Russian mines.
One Ukrainian soldier, speaking anonymously because he was not authorized to publicly discuss casualties, said that during a recent assault, “we lost 50 guys in two hours.” In another place, said the soldier, who works closely with different frontline units, “hundreds” of Ukrainian troops were killed or wounded while trying to take a single village, which is still in Russian hands.
Pretty F-ing amazing the the PJ unit I was in never had those type ranked “high value targets” and we functioned and time over time just fine in achieving our assigned objectives, tasks, etc. Pretty F-ing amazing that Spec-Op units, such as SEALS, etc., can function just fine in completing their assigned objectives and tasks without those type ranked “high value targets”.
Stop over-blowing ranked “high value targets” cause things will carry on and function just fine if proper in-depth training has been given to those units in command.
