Tucker Carlson turned up at the funeral of Hells Angels leader funeral Sonny Barger Saturday, and delivered an impassioned speech in honor of the fallen societal figure.
Carlson, 53, was one of more than 7,000 gathered at the Stockton 99 Speedway to pay respects to the fallen Ralph 'Sonny' Barger, who died in June following a brief battle with throat cancer, aged 83.

Tucker showing up to honor their founder boggles the mind, but he can do what he wants. I just won't watch his show/social media any longer. It would be nice if someone called him out or asked him why he felt compelled to go to a violent convicted felon's funeral, but I won't hold my breath.

It sounds like you too...have no idea what motivated Tucker to attend and speak at the funeral.
Here’s a thought - why not take a breath and wait for the explanation? I suspect it will be in one of his telecasts this week...perhaps tonight.
Then you can determine an appropriate response based on facts not currently known.
I’d thought the scum Barger was dead a long time ago.
Sonny was a ‘rebel’, like Che. Doesn’t matter he was a psycho killer.
Some people just feel a need to identify with that type.
Al Capone was that sorta rebel, too. So was Whitey Bulger.
Tucker sure does some goofy stuff in his drive for attention.
He sees himself a rebel, also.
he says why he was there in his speech...
Just possibly... Sonny was a Tucker fan.
And just possibly. the Angels “asked” him.
And just possibly, Tucker may have thought it was an offer “too good” and that he could just “not refuse”.
Barger was an atrocious human.
The HAMC, which he founded, terrorized wherever they went. I experienced a small piece of it in NYC when I was a rookie cop. They were much worse in the 80s/90s.
Tucker showed up to his funeral and was giddy as a schoolboy and effusive in his praise of a drug-dealing violent felon.
Those are some facts I know right now. It would take a great deal to alter my perception of this story.
The older I become, the less impressed I am with anything Hell’s Angels related.

With Tucker you get a certain equivocalness.
With Hannity you get sermonizing ad nauseum.
Wish you could get Tucker’s brevity coupled with Hannity’s steadfastness. No equivocalness and no repeated sermonizing.

Hells Angels never terrorized Italian neighborhoods. Tucker would know nothing about that.
So a dead violent felon writes “stay loyal, remain free, and value honor” to him mom and Tucker just HAS to go there and give a speech? If that’s the real reason, Tucker is even more of a fraud and phony than I thought.
I’ll be interested to hear his explanation.
Maybe he was looking to hire some “protection”.
I think I’d prefer to have the Hell’s Angels on my side.

I generally like Tucker but haven’t watched him for years, mainly because he’s on Fox, which I haven’t watched in years. And it’s possible to like someone generally and not agree on everything. This is a bit weird.
