California Democratic congresswoman Katie Porter blasted a local police department for arresting a man she lived with after he allegedly assaulted a pro-Trump protester in July 2021.
Following the incident, Porter sent a scathing text to Irvine Mayor Farrah Khan to tell them that their officers were a 'disgrace.'
The leaked text message was reported by Fox News in September, more than a year after the event
The fight occurred at Porter's first town hall following the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, which was held in Irvine.
Julian Willis was arrested after apparently giving a Trump supporter a bloody nose, he was cited for his alleged role.
Willis' relationship to Porter is unknown at this point. Porter has three children and is described as a 'single mother' in much of her campaign literature.
Records show that Willis, 51, lives with Porter at her home on the grounds of the University of California's Irvine location.
According to his official website, Willis has worked on Wall Street and in finance since 1997. On that page he describes himself as being the director of marketing for a company named Derivative Path, a financial advice firm.
In addition, Willis is a financial journalist and has seen his work published by USA Today and Yahoo! Finance.
At the time of his arrest, NBC San Diego listed Willis as living La Jolla, just outside of San Diego, around 70 miles south of UC Irvine. Records show that prior to living at the University of California Irvine, Willis had an address in La Jolla.
The station described Willis' time in custody as 'brief.'
Later, Porter texted Irvine's mayor to say: 'I will never trust them again' and 'your police force is a disgrace,' reports Fox News.

I lived in Irvine for 22 years and the police department was outstanding at that time. Unfortunately the Irvine mayor is a crazy Democrat so someone will get into trouble.

The candidates that the Democrats are putting up for office have no clue how our government works. We are moving towards civil war do partly to this . The Republicans are not willing to deal with the idiot Democrats for good reason.
