Comparing his opponent’s record to toilet paper that’s “soft on bottoms,” Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mehmet Oz put up a billboard near Democrat John Fetterman’s home in Braddock on Wednesday that calls the former mayor “soft on crime.”
Mr. Oz, the cardiothoracic surgeon and TV celebrity, has been repeatedly hitting Mr. Fetterman on crime in recent weeks, alleging that the Democrat’s policy proposals and past statements indicate that he’d let criminals run rampant through the streets at a time when Pennsylvania is experiencing rising violent crime rates.
“John Fetterman is so soft on crime, the Oz campaign thought we would put it in perspective,” Oz spokeswoman Brittany Yanick said in a statement. “Let's be clear — some things should be soft, but Pennsylvania's next Senator should NOT be soft on crime.”

Oz slaps billboard ripping Fetterman smack in the middle of Braddock https://t.co/9Er5Q4sEEb— Dr. Mehmet Oz (@DrOz) September 28, 2022
Good billboard, but will the voters being targeted understand it?
Just that mug shot alone should be enough to deter anyone from voting for this goon.
So is the billboard insinuating that TP’s used on both kinds of S**t?
> Good billboard, but will the voters being targeted understand it? <
Good billboard, but probably wrong location. If Trump got 10% of Braddock’s vote, I’d be surprised. Now, if these billboards could be placed in swing areas, that would be awesome.
It mocks the shit out of Fetterman now get one up on the Pennsy turnpike . Stick one on Walnut Street in Philadelphia. Do little posters all over every town you can. God the backdrop on that billboard was almost worse than the billboard.
“soft on crime.”
The same old slogans for the last 50 years.
It’s the right location to start. It’s not about getting the Braddock vote (a 1000 people?), it is a creative guerrilla marketing techniqe. It is going viral and generating a ton of publicity and word of mouth because it is in his own backyard. Start it in Northampton County it doesn’t have the same effect.
He reminds me of Herman Muson.
I swear, if Oz walked on water, some here would just say that Oz can’t swim.
TP is apropos... because a decision between Oz and Fetterman is literally asking voters, do you want your crap sandwich with our without corn.
Regardless who wins PA and America loses.
Great ad, but the imbeciles in Philly, Pitt and Harrisburg will vote that moron Fetterman regardless of what Dr Oz says or does.
Trump gets the same treatment. If President Trump could actually cure cancer, make people in wheelchairs walk, some people still would try to find a fault.
We don’t need their vote. We just need a small percentage of those people to stay home and not vote.
HOLY CRAP, Doctor Oz, how could your campaign let this pass?
Soft on bottoms Paid for by Doctor Oz for Senate, Soft on Crime.
Just what you don’t people reading to themselves, “Doctor Oz for Senate, Soft on Crime.”
It’s the Visa for American Express affect. For YEARS Visa used to close their ads with “...and they don’t take American Express.” But finally, after years of frustration, they realized that people heard the ads as claiming that American Express was accepted more places. Because they heard the problem that a credit card wasn’t accepted in many places, and they thought of American Express, and they never played back the ENTIRE ad in their heads.
I think you meant Herman Munster-I think he looks like the Addams Family Uncle Fester though-even the dark hoodies...

Excellent point!
Uncle Festerman is that guy!
