>>Germany chose their fate when they tried to go green with Russian oil and gas.<<

Stop beating a dead horse.
Especially when we have its mental capability fill the Oval Office.

“In less than 24 hours part of Ukraine becomes part of Russia..”

No, it doesn’t. Saying something does not make it so.”

You are right. Mere words don’t matter. It’s the preference of the people and RF armed forces that make it so. That’s just “real politik”

Exactly, Neocons have trouble with that.

Stated Plainly: The need for fossil fuels can never be ignored. The next war will prove it.

Ok, fine. But why can’t NATO keep their nose out of Ukraine?

I’ve read multiple negative reviews of the M777s durability repeatedly. They break down after short usage and Ukraine lacks the ability to repair them. We have sent lots of them and don’t even have more we can send to replace all the destroyed and broken down ones. So our latest package includes a small number of 105mm howitzers instead. It’s all we have now.

Here is just one example:

“Fakyu Fakfak
to have been an artillery gunner, those m777 breaks all the time. its even worst during winter warfare. if the gps lose his charge, the m777 become an other piece of artillery that take more than 30 minutes to set in battery position. at this point 105mm are better and faster to deploy without the gps sysyem. you also have to dig the arrows and the m777 you almost dig 2 trench everytime. during winter with a frozen ground its a shit show. but the m777 with a gps round can fire very accurate up to 40km of range. otherwise with regular ammo 16km. other inconvenant, those rounds are 90pds. untrained personnal cant carry long missions over long period of time without beeing exhausted. 105mm are 30 pds which make them better in my opinions for long warfare. if i remember they fire up to 12km.”

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/09/28/the-us-and-europe-are-running-out-of-weapons-to-send-to-ukraine.html

The U.S. has essentially run out of the 155 mm howitzers to give to Ukraine; to send any more, it would have to dip into its own stocks reserved for U.S. military units that use them for training and readiness. But that’s a no-go for the Pentagon, military analysts say, meaning the supplies reserved for U.S. operations are highly unlikely to be affected.

>>The dead zone will supposedly keep the ‘Ukrainian invaders’ away<<

The proof of that statement will soon enough be known. Any volunteers for entering the dead zone even if there is a pile of gold waiting?

Ukraine is as much a part of Russia as is Opelika, Alabama.

It doesn't matter what you think. The voters and the Russian federation feel differently.

You disgrace yourself putting that sham election out as legit. My friends and family in the Donbas could teach you a thing or two.

Cathi, You seemed a bit dispairing a day or so ago. Here’s what Dima (Military Summary Channel) has to say today about the battle fronts and the future (for last two or three days before today he was very negative in describing the RF Liman situation) :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTRKqU__0kg

I did post yesterday that I doubted the RF would not decline to engage in a tactical retreat from Liman unless the RF had something in the works.

I see that Alexander Mercouris is of the same mind and has an interesting take on the reasons for the RF’s slow operational tempo recently.

Sounds like the military was sold a lemon with this system. Sounds like it has problems during the winter and it’s quite cold in Europe, even in the milder areas.

My friends from Hungary say it can get to -30 Celsius often. Ukraine is even colder.

“It’s the preference of the people…”

In 1860 it was the preference of The South to leave the United States.

How did that work out for them?

Oh boy, they say only Russians have broken down crappy weapons. There is gonna be some attacking going on against people deemed to be US weaponry is perfect deniers.

I guess it is a good thing that our own troops aren’t the ones working with broken down Himars etc.

>> If this was the case why are German natural gas prices steadily falling?<<

It could be that Deutschland is expecting a huge LNG shipment from the US but I don’t think they’ll continue to fall after the pipe break in the Baltic.

People usually do not give up territory won in a war. It may happen way into the future, but it won’t in this instance because Ukraine would slaughter all those people voting to be part of Russia.

That was a civil war, not a proxy war.
