I don’t think a repeal of the filibuster would require presidential approval.

Not that due process was followed for repeal of the confirmation filibuster but as I recall Harry Reid declared it repealed - it did not go to the President.

I’m not sure of Senate Rules but Robert’s Rules of Order states that no rule can be suspended if the negative vote is as large as the minority the rule was intended to protect.

Reid didn’t have that.

You’re right it wouldn’t. I was thinking more along the line of the idiotic legislation that’s been passed and signed.
