A federal appellate judge confirmed that he will no longer consider graduates of Yale Law School for clerkships, citing the school's alleged penchant for "cancellation of views."
Judge James C. Ho of the New Orleans-based 5th Circuit Court of Appeal spoke to the Kentucky Chapters Conference of the Federalist Society last week and openly criticized the so-called intolerant practices trumpeted by Yale Law and its graduates.
"Yale not only tolerates the cancellation of views — it actively practices it," said Ho, a University of Chicago School of Law graduate who was nominated to his federal judiciary post by then-President Donald Trump in 2017.

One of the first things that a Trump or DeSantis administration should do is to make an announcement like this. Except couch it as a maturity issue, not a cancel culture issue.
“I saw the way these law students treated the speaker and they have demonstrated that they do not have the emotional maturity to work in my administration.” If Harvard or Yale can’t get their grads into government positions, they lose a lot of clout.

Maybe I’m slow but how exactly does it punish the liberal deans of Yale Law School to refuse to hire their conservative graduates as law clerks? Yale Law school may be lefty as an institution, but plenty of conservatives have gone there (Alito, Thomas).
Problem is if you consider U. Chicago law grads you end up in Liz Cheney territory.

Conservative grads will be just fine, and anything that punishes Yale collectively is a plus, particularly if we can punish 'em out of business.
How does refusing to hire conservative grads of Yale Law School put Yale Law School out of business?
In this posting, I see two - count them - two prominent grads talked about (from some years back BTW). How many grads does Yale produce each year? You are concerned that there may be more conservative grads and you may be right but some how I doubt the number is large. No doubt the vast majority are the woke leftist that need to be routed. Even a generally conservative student will be bombarded daily with Yale woke crap. To some level they succumb to the leftist pap they are being hammered with daily. Youngish conservatives are not the hardcores you run up on in places like this (FReep). So by hiring no one from Yale Law, that is how you hurt them. Oh, don't tell FReeper bert that I used FReep as a noun, it freaks him out.
