Why American Boys Are Failing at School—and Men are Losing in Life

In New York, boys are now lagging behind girls in math and a full grade level behind in English. Similar patterns can be seen across the nation. Boys graduate high school at about the same rate as poor students, while girls account for two out of three high schoolers in the top 10% ranked by GPA. One in four black boys repeat a grade, and 60% of students on college campuses are now women.

When almost one in four boys (23%) are categorized as having a “developmental disability,” it is fair to wonder if it is the boys — or the system — that is not functioning properly.

As many boys struggle through school, many men are also having a hard time in the labor market. The jobs men used to get without much formal education are disappearing: Fewer than one in ten jobs now require what the Bureau of Labor Statistics describes as “heavy work,” requiring “occasionally lifting or carrying 51-100 pounds or frequently lifting or carrying 26-50 pounds.”

Teachers to females in class: You are women, you can be anything you want to be and achieve anything you want in life.

About males: A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.

It’s simple - lots of American men are lazy.

A while ago I said to a female coworker that my narcissistic man hating mentally ill alcoholic mother (now dead) said to me frequently after the divorce she engineered when I was in the 3rd grade: “You’re just like your father.” (in a tone like “you tossed a pile of wet garbage onto the new carpet in the living room.”

The coworker said “Mothers are still saying that to their sons.” A younger woman nodded and said “Yes, I’ve heard that from ones my age, too.”

Still the fad, huh?

If only we could repeal it.

GPA has become subjective, political, and not very meaningful. Are males falling behind on who gets the highest scores on standardized tests like SAT or ACT? (Not expecting anyone to answer this for me).

I don’t know if that exactly describes it but 50 years in the classroom from 1971 to 2011 and I can say with some assurance that education has more and more focused on skills and behaviors found much more in young and adolescent girls than boys. Things like emphasizing group cooperative assigments, pass fail grades, minimizing competition and failing to reward individual effort and success, these make school more unpleasant if not unbearable for boys. I found in most group work a group’s girls usually provided the most succesful results while the boys skated.i was discouraged in later years from giving individual work. Much of the time this led to problem behavior of the boys. I used to think about my experience in Catholic School with the Sisters of Charity and the Jesuits. The Sisters were frequently wielding that 14 inch long 1/4 inch thick ruler on us boys while the girls were held inviolate, by those nuns loved their boys and praise was issued to each of us when earned. That praise was also measured by multiple standards. Some got praise for results that earned me a you csn do better comment. So that led to greater efforts on the parts of each of us. Competition was encouraged. The Jebbies? Well they only taught boys but they were the ones to ask a 14 year old “ What do you think” and when answered they would respond with “Why? Explain yourself.” In public education this never happens today.

Feminism has won. With the full participation of men without balls. We now live in a matriarchy.

Almost. They tried but their attempt failed as all matriarchies do.

Men of matriarchial societies dominated the television and movie industry and used it to attack manhood for almost a century. They despise it because it's everything they'll never be. Politicians were selected for their beta and hive mindset to enact laws targeting men. Beta-bucks males such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos, willingly play along but even their money has a limit to its influence.

Once aware, there's no turning back. Men realize the game is rigged and they're unplugging. The powers to be are angry and afraid because they're losing their mind control methods and people have woken up. They've woken up so much they elected Donald Trump twice.

Terms such as "beta male", "simping", "hypergamy", "misandry", "inability to pair bond", "alpha widow", "red pill", "black pill", "the Wall", "divorce rape", "toxic femininity", "red flags", "hot-crazy matrix", "paternal rights", etc. were long overdue to be added into the daily lexicon of young men.

The handlers behind the Supreme Court didn't order the overturning of Roe v. Wade because they care about protecting the lives of innocent children or the Constitution, they ordered it because even foreign-born Americans have a negative birth rate. As men unplug, they're not willing to feed the machine.

You're right about GPA. It is a subjective as the teacher's opinion of the student.

Even the standardized tests like the SAT and ACT are having the scores modified for the purposes of "equity". Guess who doesn't benefit from that?

How can an algebra teacher compete for the attention of people trained for streaming and the metaverse?

I sub at a school I taught at for 29 years. It’s been 10 years since I ‘retired’. Each kid now carries around a ChromeBook and virtually all lessons are assigned, turned in and graded in something called Google Classroom.

Maybe the teachers are trying to make it easy for me as a sub, but it seems bizarre. I sub because I still enjoy teaching but all I see are kids with headphones plugged in and staring at a screen. I don’t know if any actual learning is taking place. Thing is I don’t know if the kids actually like this. All I know is that the kids are not lacking in screen time, I hardly ever see them reading a book.

But men account for a shrinking share of the teaching profession: just 24%, down from 33% in the 1980s. In elementary schools, only 11% are men. And in the earliest years, men are virtually invisible. Just 3% of kindergarten teachers are men, which is about half the share of women flying military airplanes. Men, our schools need you.

Gee. I wonder why so few men want to be Kindergarten teachers. Let me think..... [/s]

...and 60% of students on college campuses are now women.

And of those 60%, several percent started college as men.

Women have had the most votes, and controlled the most money, in the United States for generations.

Our enemies have reveled in this and promoted it.

60% of students on college campuses are now women.

That means nothing. STEM colleges are filled with majority male students.

And, even in colleges with majority female students, programs such as computer science and engineering are filled with mostly male students. My sons and their friends used to joke they picked the wrong major for meeting girls.

more fallout from the 19th amendment

Biggest mistake. We can't repeal it. Otherwise, we would probably be okay today if it wasn't passed.
