Jayapal: Biden Should Have Been ‘Much Tougher with the Saudis’ — OPEC Cut Is Saudis, Russia Trying to Influence Election
Breitbart ^ | 10/05/2022 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 10/05/2022 3:42:50 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) reacted to OPEC’s announced production cut by stating that President Joe Biden’s trip to Saudi Arabia was a bad idea, and “I thought that we had to get much tougher with the Saudis.” And that “this move was done between MBS and Putin and others who want to affect the U.S. election.”

Host Pamela Brown said, “Congresswoman, what did President Biden get out of his fist bump with the Saudi crown prince, when the Saudi-led coalition is now going ahead with this major cut? I remember, at the time, you had expressed concern about him going to Saudi Arabia.”

Why would oil producers want a party that is trying to destroy oil usage to hold power? They have every right to price their product by how much they produce.

If OPEC and Russia help us in the midterms I won’t complain, they obviously are doing this intentionally since they had months to do this but are only doing it now, I guess this is what happens when Joe and the Democrats piss them off

Hard to “be tough” with the Saudis, when you are trying to give Iran Nuclear weapons and cash.

Best way to be tough on the Saudis would have been to finish the Keystone Pipeline and offer expedited approvals for all proposed new refineries.

But that might have made his Gen Z base cry…

At the moment, The Saudis control our economy and The Dems don’t realize it.

Lazy writing for newspapers and TV have got us to this place that absolutely ANYTHING is done to move elections. Butter goes up 20%. Damn dairy farmers trying to move the election to the GOP advantage. Anything bad that happens = not the fault of Xiden.

There are leases. They are not being utilized, for a whole host of reasons.

Mainly that there's no oil there?

It's amazing to watch Democrats with arrogance so colossal as to believe that spending their political capital on insults and hostile acts will not result in losing it, both in domestic and international affairs. The guy who does his utmost to support and enrich Iran now expects a favor from their enemies? Why?

Nobody wants to be on the side of a slimy sleazy lying energy saboteur.

Not even the Saudis, who are trying to join the BRICS, even joining with Iran.

As I see it, if we’re willing to flood the oil market by emptying out our Strategic Petroleum Reserve, then there’s no reason for OPEC to run their fields dry.

Actually, we point it out when it goes AGAINST their prime agenda, which is ending fossil fuel use.

To put it another way, there is only ONE REASON that The Junta would want lower oil prices, and that is to convince voters that ‘aren’t so bad’.

And if MBS supported Biden, there is NO WAY this huge reduction in output would have happened.

“Mainly that there’s no oil there?”

What’s wrong with drilling if there’s no oil?
(DNC logic)
