I wonder what they are paying these Bus Drivers.

I could use a job such as that. Still, they must be using teams. I would suppose that a one way trip Texas to NYC is at least 20 hours, and they would require toilet breaks and possibly a fuel stop. I never have been to Texas so I would totally be guessing.

Rent a cruise ship, trains, airplanes AND bus. Start sending 1,000 per week, then per day.

They give tickets for all sorts of things. Connecticut used to be the worst.

I spoke with a Trucker once on I-95 who stopped for coffee. He was in the rest area shop for 10 minutes or so. When he came out, his truck was out of service. He was by Law forbidden to drive it. He never even saw the DOT Inspector. I think that he said that the problem had something to do with the thickness of the windshield. I don’t really recall that part, but the problem was extremely trivial.

Bus companies transporting to NYC need to utilize black drivers, then when these onerous searches occur, the drivers can cry racism.

NYC: “Hey, we only said we were a “sanctuary city,” because it sounded cool on CNN. C’mon, we were just kidding.”

You’re correct…..this is nothing but petty police state tyranny. Harass those doing what you don’t like in order to find a crime.

They’re boring as hell also. Nothing more boring than a room full of cops. I had a group of 4 or 5 guys I grew up with, they all went “on the job” as they liked to say. When we got together with the wives I’d be in the other room talking with the girls…..

Drop them off at a rest area on the Taconic. That would be fun to watch.

DOT cops don’t need any reasonable cause to pull over and inspect a commercial vehicle.

I drive a commercial vehicle at times for my job. I recently had a DOT proctological exam at a weight station. I had a minor infraction that he let slide. Couple have nailed me for thousands of dollars.

After about an hour, they issued the drivers two pink tickets. The cops would not say what they were for, but one appeared to be over a loose windshield wiper.

Another was for a loose seat.

At a press briefing, Adams did not deny knowing about the operation ahead of time, saying he constantly works with the NYPD to “clamp down on any dangerous situation.”

Eric Adams declared a state of emergency Friday over the influx, which he insisted was a “humanitarian crisis” that is “unsustainable” — and will likely cost the city $1 billion by the end of the fiscal year.

“New Yorkers are angry. I am angry, too,” he said..

However, Adams has pointedly refused to blame Biden for the crisis engulfing the city

Mayor Eric Adams cannot blame anyone but himself for the "crisis". HE insisted that New York City is a "sanctuary city". He asked for it, let them all go to his house.

Let them also live in the New York City taxpayer-funded mansion for the mayor and Gracie Park that surrounds it.

Texas needs to pull over every vehicle with NY plates and do the same thing.
