Was the child’s name at least spelled correctly? A lot of blacks just throw letters in a bowl, mix it up and throw it on the table. Whatever comes out is the kid's name. Sometime they include a "'" just for fun ("L'atasha").
When you're illiterate, spelling takes a back seat to "style"
