Men hard at work during their downtime. While Russian conscripts do their best to dodge Putin’s meat grinder. Never obey egomaniacs / megalomaniacs, who want to send you off to die in their stupid wars.

It is so very kind of the Russians to provide Ukraine with all of these weapons to help defend Ukraine from the Russians.

https://sonar21.com/what-is-russia-planning-to-do-next/

While Russia is beefing up its forces in Belarus, the Supreme Russian Commander for military operations in Ukraine, General Surovikin, made the following comment in recent days:

I don’t want to sacrifice the lives of the Russian soldiers in a partisan war of hoards of fanatics armed by NATO.

We’ve got enough power and t

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses/11836

In other words, the General, knowing the capability of the forces under his command and knowing the missions he and his staff are planning for them, is confident he has the means to force the surrender of Ukraine. No mention of negotiations. The word, “capitulation” is not ambiguous in its meaning.

There is another possibility to entertain–this is an elaborate feint by Russia designed to force Ukraine to deploy already weakened forces to the northern border to defend against a possible invasion from the north. This will make it difficult, if not impossible, for Ukraine to send reinforcements to the south in a timely manner if Russia decides to launch an offensive to clear out the Donetsk Republic or attack Nikolayev.

All of this movement on the ground is taking place against developing political chaso in the West. The United States, under the leadership of the demented Joe Biden, has embarked on a foreign policy apparently designed to anger and offend ostensible allies.

Alex Christoforou reports on kamikaze drone strikes on major Ukrainian cities. Ukraine's air defense remains non-existent.

“This will make it difficult, if not impossible, for Ukraine to send reinforcements to the south in a timely manner...”

You’ve forgotten one of the first rules of strategy. The defender with interior lines can redeploy troops much faster than an attacker with exterior lines.

Negotiation means Russia’s invasion paid off.

If Ukraine wants that then they will seek surrender terms.

Russia obviously wants this to be a forever war by being the biggest supplier of Ukraine with weapons.

I live 50 miles from the border and help Ukrainian refugees.

A few weeks ago we had lunch with some ladies who had gone back home but returned to work in Polish factories. These ladies had lost family to the Russians.

They were all primary Russian speakers.

But all of them say that they want to keep fighting.

Why?

Because they say that in 2014 Putin took land, then in 2022 he came back for more.

If they don’t stop him now, he will come back in 8 more years and renew the hell for their children. So this ends now.

Echoes what I hear from Ukrainian refugees in England (I work with the charities providing housing, and have two guests myself.)

Funny thing you never hear the Russians mention when they’re on Telegram. An awful lot of those people fighting on Ukraine’s side are Russian speakers. Speaking Russian. A lot.

That brilliant shot of the guy taking down a ballistic missile? Him and his colleagues were all Russian speakers.

The way the Russians talk, you’d think everybody fighting for Ukraine either can’t speak Russian at all or doesn’t like speaking Russian.

Imagine if there ever was an existential war between the USA and Canada, where the Americans expected everyone talking aboot stuff in a sort-of American accent was on their side...

Exactly. And what is weird is that until 2014 most people living in Ukraine were ambivalent about nationality. If Putin had used soft power and cultural influence then tied them with a generous economic zone, then the two countries would be practically integrated.

But he went in, guns blazing and created q heightened sense of nationhood
