I was recently on a cruise to Alaska, and each port of call we visited, Ketchican, Juneau, Skagway and Vancouver (B.C.) all had jewelry stores, wide open with only one female employee welcoming everyone in.
In most parts of the U.S.A., this would be viewed as an open invitation for NAPAs to rape, ransack, and viciously destroy anything they could focus their eyes on.
My first instinct was to Sheppard the innocents away from danger, but then I realized, these awful Canadians (or so they appeared), with their ridiculous money, outrageous accents, terrible beer, and fondness for non-hockey skating weren’t worth my time or trouble.
I was in Las Vegas last weekend and wanted to enter a Rolex store but were limiting customers to 4 per salesman and there was only one salesman there. Good for them. Maybe will keep thefts down. In my “safe” suburb of CA Rolexes are ripped off arms at gunpoint now.
I agree with you. Canadian accent should be a crime.
