Bodybuilder Andreas Frey unexpectedly passed away on October 20, 2022. He was 43 years old. HITC takes a look into his family life, alongside his bodybuilding legacy as a former champion.
The bodybuilding community lost an icon as Andreas Frey suddenly passed away between Thursday night (October 20, 2022) and Friday morning.
According to his company, FREY Nutrition, the sports star died in his sleep. He is survived by his wife and their two daughters. Frey was best known for the glittering career that saw him place second at the 2006 PDI Night Of Champions, behind Lee Priest.
He also competed in the International Federation of BodyBuilding and Fitness (IFBB) and National Amateur Body-Builders’ Association (NABB).

Then we have this in the past couple days, too.
The music stopped partway through a song during the 55-year-old's show. It resumed a few minutes later but Tim did not return. Tim leaves behind a son, two siblings, and his mum.
GenX Radio Suffolk confirmed Tim had died. A spokesperson said on Twitter: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to inform you, our dear friend and breakfast host Tim Gough passed away this morning whilst presenting his program.
"Our love to his family, son, sister, brother and mum.
Megyn Kelly's sister, Suzanne Crossley, died on Friday after suffering a heart attack. She was 58. Kelly, 51, shared the news during the opening segment of her podcast on Monday.
"Something really sad happened in my family over the weekend," she shared. "My sister died, she was 58, her name was Suzanne Crossley and she died suddenly on Friday of a heart attack."
Kelly added that her sister had not been in good health over the last couple of years. However, her death was sudden and unexpected. During the segment, the former Today host also shared that she was with her mother, her brother and one of Crossley's sons at the time of her death.
"So, it was very hard," she said. "It was extremely emotional. My poor mom, as all moms and dads know, this is not the order in which this is supposed to happen."
Those guys live a very unhealthy life.
Yeah. It did occur to me that maybe ‘roids were at work here. Just maybe.

I didn’t see anyone say that.
This would be my guess. Steroids has caused many people, pro wrestlers, bodybuilders, etc. to suffer early cardiac related deaths.

A different ex bodybuilder died last week.
It’s getting hard to keep up with all the deaths.
More bodybuilders die from the other drugs they use.
It’s a dark underworld of messed up crap.
When you see a guy with ripped abs with a 40 inch waist, that’s not steroids but HGH.
Competition prep time is very dangerous with the cocktails and dehydration combo. Multiple heart attacks have happened from high pulse & BP with electrolyte numbers far out of balance.
Just an average guy that does a full body lifting routine for 45 minutes, two days a week...
I often wonder how it is that lots of health driven individuals seem to die younger than they should and often take things to extreme.
Yeah guess thats why they are banned in many sports. Ironically another drug that causes similar problems is made mandatory for employment in millions of jobs. Ethical standards seem to be collapsing.

It’s a mindset that affects different people in different ways.
Anorexia, bigorexia, drug abuse, alcoholism, etc are related in multiple ways.
At least that’s my observation.
Many have addictive personalities by nature/birth.
One just has to direct it in a positive direction, and work to keep it from becoming deleterious to one’s life.
