Is Putin's 'chef' cooking up a coup? Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin is making a grab for power by sending thousands of his mercenaries to die in a pointless battle in Ukraine

Across Ukraine, Putin’s forces are in retreat.

Except in the eastern town of Bakhmut - where Russian billionaire Yevgeny Prigozhin is sacrificing thousands of his Wagner mercenaries in an attempt to retake the town.

This suicidal advance is at first glance strategically insignificant – but as this video explains it could be part of Prigozhin’s attempt to grab more power.

'Bakhmut'....nobody is reporting accurately on that battle. But it is a decisive battle.

I must have left my brain in the bathroom. How is sending troops into die translated into a power grab?

Yeah, okie dokie.

I know who is really sending to die needlessly...

“The irretrievable losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of October 20, 2022 amounted to 402,000 people , of which 387,000 were killed . Losses among mercenaries and volunteers from Poland, the Baltic States, Romania amounted to 54,000 of them killed 31,240 people. These are the OSINT data , calculated using reports from funeral agencies, extracts from mortuaries, as well as the results of an analysis of the radio, cellular and satellite exchange of forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The media also report that the Committee of Soldiers’ Mothers of Ukraine allegedly prepared more than 320,000 appeals “about the fate of the missing soldiers”, but the SBU banned them for national security purposes......”

.
.
Maybe the idiot in Kyiv should have thought about it long and hard before commencing his genocidal campaigns against civilians from 2014 onwards in the Donbass regions. Maybe, NATO should have enforced the Minsk agreements? Yeah, whatever.

I’ve been hearing ‘the walls are closing in on Putin’ since early March, or that he is ‘near death’.

I’m hoping some semblance of peace can soon be established.
Both sides need what remains of their lives back.
If that happens, it will probably be done in spite of US intervention and not because of.

adviser to the Office of the President, Aleksey Arestovich said

In regards to Bakhmut......”There, the terrain looks worse than in the First World War. There is no longer a living place there; everything is pitted with artillery. “

“The storming of Bakhmut continues.

Units continue to target the enemy to the south and east of the town.

In addition, the area of the industrial zone, where the militants have entrenched, is being worked on. The video shows the arrivals and the aftermath of the air raids on the asphalt plant, from where the Ukrainians are trying to dislodge the Wagner units from their occupied positions on the territory of the asphalt plant.

Along with this, the Orchestra’s stormtroopers are moving forward, including from the southeastern part of the Bakhmut area.”

A soldier just back from the Bakhmut front line.....

50-year-old soldier from the 93rd brigade nicknamed “Poliak”, recalled the four days on the tense battlefield.

“For days I didn’t sleep, didn’t eat, didn’t drink except coffee,” he said.

“Out of the 13 guys in my group, we lost two soldiers, and five got evacuated,” said Poliak, slightly injured by shrapnel.....This is our life now”.

More propaganda that isn't the least bit believable.

So U.S. intelligence is claiming that Prigozhin and Putin recently had a meeting during which Prigozhin vented his anger. How would the U.S. know that? Does it have microphones inside the Kremlin? Is there a mole deep inside Putin's administration who serves him his tea? I don't think so.

Down in the 11th paragraph the Post finally says that Prigozhin himself is strongly denying any recent meeting with Putin as well as any 'venting':

Prigozhin denied recent personal contact with Putin in comments to The Washington Post made late Monday through his press service.

“First, I did not communicate personally with Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin either recently or in any foreseeable future. I did not criticize the management of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during the conflict in Ukraine. Therefore, I cannot comment on anything,” he said, adding that he had no right to criticize or praise the work of Russia’s armed forces since he was not a military expert.

That statement sounds more truthful to me than any of the claims those anonymous U.S. officials make.

So why do U.S. officials come up with such nonsense?

NBC News and other outlets told us why:

The administration has done so even when the intelligence wasn’t rock solid, officials said, to keep Russian President Vladimir Putin off balance.

That is of course not the real reason. Putin is a professional. He knows what requests his commanders have made or not made. He knows that he did not meet Prigozhin.

The real function of those false assertions is to project Russia as weak, to deceive the U.S. public to keep up the support for the U.S. proxy war against Russia. That may or may not work. But as long as 'journalists' are willing to write down such nonsense there are also no costs to any of the 'U.S. officials' producing it.

They will only stop making up shit when they are called out for it.

Putin, like Hitler, likes to keep his underlings competing against each other. Right now Prigozhin and Kadyrov are blaming the Russian Army for failures in Ukraine. This keeps the fanatics from blaming Putin and makes Shoygu even more dependent on Putin’s support. Should Prigozhin or Kadyrov become a threat, Putin can ask the army to liquidate them or vice versa with Shoygu.
