This may be a strategy of some kind. I don’t get it. John O’Dea is almost certainly going to lose so it is a very curious move by DeSantis.
This.
“The Left wants to stoke a rift between Trump and DeSantis desperately. I am not biting.”
Yep, it’s from “The Hill”, a leftist rag trying to sow discord.
The Hill may as well be Media Matters.
Use yours, RINOs are Democrats.
Proving again that DeSantis has a mind of his own and doesn’t suck up to Trump like hannity and others do.
Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) and former Vice President Mike Pence ....
None are prominent Republican’s. Sadly, the only reason that Pence is still surviving is folks will sit around at something like a GOP event and listen to him talk. Some may genuinely like the guy. They would be called RINOs. Anyone else should get up and walk out on him.
they have a difference on an endorsement
big whoop
lets blow up this molehill into a mountain
the LEFT is constantly trying to gin up divisions in the Republican Party
I would prefer a candidate that could serve two full terms
rather than one who can only serve one term. Trump could
help a two term applicant for sure. The question becomes
Trump’s ego, imo.
Why does anyone think that O’Dea would be some reliable Republican vote? Just because he plays himself to be one?
Romney, Murkowski, Cassidy, Cornyn, Tillis, Collins, Ernst, Capito are all Republican’s. And they are reliable votes for Schumer when needed.
I have thought that DeSantis would make a good VP and then Pres for 8 years but I think his ambition has clouded his judgement. I am OFF the DeSantis for VP wagon as of now.
Same thing in Oklahoma - though TW Shannon, the more conservative candidate, almost certainly would have been electable in a state like Oklahoma. Instead Trump endorsed a milquetoast boilerplate Republican. Made zero sense and such a missed opportunity.
Rove and Paul Ryan are all over the media…..they are scared sh1tless that Pres. Trump is coming back…..and this time he is taking no prisoners.
DeSantis has been openly stumping for candidates Trump supports also.
The Florida governor's rally schedule focuses on Trump-endorsed candidates who have won their party primary elections but have struggled to gain the upper hand against Democratic rivals ahead of the Nov. 8 midterms.
DeSantis will appear on behalf of U.S. Senate Republican candidates Blake Masters and J.D. Vance, as well as Republican gubernatorial candidates Kari Lake of Arizona and Doug Mastriano of Pennsylvania, who are all trailing their Democratic rivals in polling three months ahead of the November elections.
I recognize O'Dea's shortcomings on some issues but we need control of the Senate first and foremost before anything can get done.
So does Mitch and his crew.
Maybe he just needs a little help to "get his mind right".
“ Trump in 2024, DeSantis in 2028.”
That would be truly MAGA.
If Oz wins in PA, that is merely a hold. If Vance wins in Ohio, that is a hold. if O’dea wins, that is a pickup of a seat, which we absolutely need. Races like this are crucial, and it’s stupid to quibble about who endorses him or who he thinks should run in 2024.
DeSantis seems to be to more to blame for this rift than anybody else by going out of his way to endorse a rabid never Trumper, anti-MAGA GOP. We need to purge that branch of the party whenever we can or America is done. There is something disingenuous about DeSantis. He’s a Harvard educated Lawyer with a phony sounding blue-collar accent. He seems to go out of his way to sound and act like he is not from the Ivy Leagues. He’s also got this tough guy thing that’s not very convincing as well.
