But it does preclude you from holding positions that require intellect, judgement, and the ability to understand and articulate complex matters. Running for office is not "working for the government" -- it IS the government.

The staffers, bureaucrats, Cabinet members, etc., are "working" for the government.

It's one thing to be represented, it's quite another to be so disabled as to be incapable of representing others.

One simple question... would anyone let John Fetterman represent them in a criminal trial before a judge? They why would they want him representing them in Congress?
