BEIJING, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Chinese cities from Wuhan in central China to Xining in the northwest are doubling down on COVID-19 curbs, sealing up buildings, locking down districts and throwing millions into distress in a scramble to halt widening outbreaks.

It’s a shame when bad things happen to good people.
...almost makes me wish they’d never released the virus in the first place!
As the US Government looks on in Envy.
Isntead of the non-vulnerable getting their not serious infection, and getting their natural antibodies from it, they are being sequestered to “avoid” infection, and the vaccines are proving THEY do no prevent infection.
China needs to only secure the really vulnerable, let everyone else get their mild infection and their antibodies, and Covid in China will settle down. As long as they keep relying on lockdowns (seqauestering the mothing healthy not vulnerable people) Covid new infection rates will keep spiking from place to place.

Abandoning the Zero-COVID policy, could be interpreted as the Party (meaning Xi) admitting they were wrong. The loss of face would be immense and create doubt.
Of course continuing it destabilizes the economy and alienates the population. Xi is going to have to rely on harsher and harsher repression. Which will further destabilize the economy and alienate the population.
Why is China STILL having so much difficulty?
Good grief.
VACCINATE people. Just do it.
