For eight years, an Austin Fire Department chaplain answered the calls of distressed firefighters and served those serving the community. However, when Dr. Andrew Fox answered the phone on an unsuspecting evening, he learned this would be his last call.
Fox joined "America's Newsroom" Thursday after his volunteer service with the Austin Fire Department was terminated due to religious beliefs shared in a personal blog.
Fox wrote that he believed biological males should not be allowed to compete against biological females. When city officials demanded he recant his statement and apologize, Fox says he apologized to anyone who was offended but could not apologize for his faith.
"When I was fired over the phone, I felt an immediate offense there that my First Amendment rights have been violated of freedom of speech and freedom of religion in something unrelated to my job," Fox told host Dana Perino

I'm surprised That the Austin fire dept. had a chaplain.
Just my opinion, but the phone call came from "woke lady" who does a show called "Woke Chat".
It's a SNL reference to Dana Carvey's character, "Church Lady" in the late 80's.
So now governments are dictating what is or isn’t religious doctrine?
That sort of negates the separation between church and state?

How can anyone justify firing a chaplain for having religious views?
What does this have to do with a religion? You’re telling me that people who are religious don’t think that it’s unfair for men to compete with women? While claiming their women? I find that hard to believe.
Separation of church and state is only an issue with the state when the church’s position conflicts with the state.

Freedom of religion has morphed into Freedom from unapproved religion and Freedom of speech & expression has morphed into Freedom from unaccepted speech and expression in our Post-Constitutional disUnited States.
If not for the fact that I have 7 close relatives who live in Austin suburbs (within ~40 miles), I think a tac nuke on Austin would be alright, after Abbott, Paxton, etc., were removed to safety. The people who run Austin are scum, as are those who vote them into office.
