Russian mobilised soldiers stage mutiny and hit back at Putin
The Sun ^

Posted on 10/28/2022 4:59:24 AM PDT by Eleutheria5

Dozens of mobilised soldiers have staged an extraordinary mutiny telling how they have no respect for the authorities in Vladimir Putin’s Russia.

A uniformed spokesman for the men is applauded by conscripts after he threatened the people should topple their rulers over the war in Ukraine.

He berates an unseen commander or top official over the threats faced by conscripts called to war by the Kremlin dictator.

The unnamed reservist mocks a policy in his region - the Tuva republic in Siberia - to gift a ram to each family of those mobilised.

He says there are not enough walkie-talkies and no adequate socks for the men who have been in training ahead of being sent 3,200 miles to fight for Putin.

“Ukraine was shelling the Russians in the Russian Donbass, killing thousands of Russians…”

In 2014, and still today, Donbas is internationally recognized as part of Ukraine. Russia sent or supported a bunch of troublemakers to start a fight. They got a fight. Russia also promised and pinky swore that if Ukraine gave up the nukes stationed in their soil Russia would leave them alone forever.

How’d that work out for them?

“On the hypothetical map, the U.N. recognizes “Aztlan” as independent.”

Key word “hypothetical”. Let me know when the UN actually does that.

“You would object to this as “illegal”.

Stop putting words in my mouth. It’s a junior high school tactic that’s beneath you. Or it should be anyway.

Why don’t you address my point? Was it okay for the British to invade us in 1812? After all they didn’t consider us a “real” country.

Somebody DID allegedly blow up a railhead. The keys words here are “Somebody” and “alleged.”

If you had the least bit of reading comprehension, and even a basic understanding of the English language, you would understand that.

Parts of track were blown up in March, 2022 as well as October, 2022.

There are several links to the October incident.

Here’s a link to the March sabotage:

You should up your game, McGee.

“Why do you post unsourced crap?”
A. It is sourced. The link is at #2, where I told you it would be in #1.

B. Why do you use a shotgun to say “hello”? Try reading the posts instead. It might save time and effort on both sides.

“Ukraine was shelling the Russians in the Russian Donbass, killing thousands of Russians, from the U.S. sponsored Maidan Coup in 2014 onward.

Good grief, but you are fond of hyperbole. Here are the totals from 2014 -2021, as well as for the Russian invasion of 2022:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Russo-Ukrainian_War

And you say “Russian Donbas?” Donbas is in eastern Ukraine, not Russia.

In any event, you are admitting that the Russians went into eastern Ukraine as early as 2014 (although on a far less scale than they did in 2022).

“On the hypothetical map, the U.N. recognizes ‘Aztlan’ as independent. Radicals begin to shell American towns on what used to be our side of the border. Eventually, as America emerges from depression and collapse, the U.S. Army moves into ‘Independent Aztlan to stop the shelling. You would object to this as ‘illegal.’

What a childish argument. You apparently sought to make that a comparison to the present situation between Ukraine and Russia.
If indeed that was your intent, you failed miserably.

Specifically, the make-up of your scenario is not even relative. Ukraine was a former SSR of the defunct USSR. With the collapse, abolition, and dissolution of the USSR some 30 years ago former SSRs (republics) became independent because...well, there was no longer any union of Soviet socialist republics, and they declared independence, and were internationally recognized as such (even Russia recognized and accepted that...at least until they didn’t).

With your “Aztlan” fantasy, you prefaced no dissolution of the United States, no abolition of the union. Thus, there are no “independent” states or territories that could have declared themselves to be “Aztlan.”

That’s the problem with hypotheticals, or “what-ifs.” They are never directly on point; the comparisons inherent in such hypotheticals are never relative. They are what are commonly known as “apples to oranges” arguments.

The deliberate and cynical use, by Zelensky and his Globalist Masters, of Ukraine’s own civilians as human shields, as well as their use of churches, hospitals, schools, and private houses as weapons storage facilities and firing platforms, are severe war crimes and violations of international humanitarian law.

Severe war crimes.

Nonsense. Those places would be getting damaged or destroyed, and people killed, if the Russians had not invaded the country and attacked them in the first place.

Hamas again uses Gazan civilians as human shields to prevent the Israeli Air Force from attacking operatives’ houses. Hamas will probably employ various tactics of using civilians as human shields as Operation Protective Edge continues and expands.

SITUATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS
IN UKRAINE IN THE CONTEXT
OF THE ARMED ATTACK
BY THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
24 FEBRUARY — 15 MAY 2022

https://www.ohchr.org/sites/default/files/documents/countries/ua/2022-06-29/2022-06-UkraineArmedAttack-EN.pdf

Placement of military objectives near civilian objects and the use of human shields

34. OHCHR is concerned that in the course of hostilities, both Russian armed forces and affiliated
armed groups as well as Ukrainian armed forces took up positions either in residential areas or
near civilian objects, from where they launched military operations without taking measures for the
protection of civilians present, as required under IHL.16 OHCHR is further concerned by reports of
the use of human shields, which involves seeking to use the presence or movement of the civilian
population or individual civilians to render certain points or areas immune from military operations.
The use of human shields is specifically prohibited by article 28 of Geneva Convention IV and
article 51(7) of additional protocol I.

35. OHCHR does not have reliable numbers on these cases, but the case of a care house in the
village of Stara Krasnianka (Luhansk region) has been emblematic in this regard. At the beginning
of March 2022, when active hostilities drew nearer to the care house, its management repeatedly
requested local authorities to evacuate the residents. This was reportedly impossible as Ukrainian
armed forces had allegedly mined the surrounding area and blocked roads. On 7 March, soldiers
from Ukrainian armed forces entered the care house, where older persons and residents with
disabilities and staff were located, as it had strategic value due to its proximity to an important
road. On 9 March, soldiers from Russian affiliated armed groups, who were approaching from
the opposite direction, engaged in an exchange of fire with soldiers from Ukrainian armed forces,
although it remains unclear which side opened fire first. During this first exchange of fire, no staff or
patients were injured.

36. On 11 March, 71 patients with disabilities and 15 staff, along with soldiers from Ukrainian
armed forces, remained in the care house with no access to water or electricity. That morning,
soldiers from Russian affiliated armed groups attacked the care house with heavy weapons, with
patients and staff still inside. A fire started and spread across the care house while fighting was
ongoing. Some staff and patients fled the care house and ran into the forest, until they were met five
kilometers away by Russian affiliated armed groups, who provided them with assistance. According
to various accounts, at least 22 patients survived the attack, but the exact number of persons killed
remains unknown.

37. By way of further example, in the village of Yahidne in Chernihiv region, which was controlled
by Russian armed forces from 3 to 31 March, 360 residents, including 74 children and 5 persons
with disabilities, were forced by Russian armed forces to stay for 28 days in the basement of a
school they had been using as their base. The basement was extremely overcrowded and people
had to sit for days without an opportunity to lie down. There were no toilet facilities, water or
ventilation. As a result of the conditions, ten older persons died. The incident raises concerns that
Russian armed forces used civilians to seek to render their base immune from military operations,
while also subjecting them to inhuman and degrading treatment.

Some details:

https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/09668136.2019.1684447

Briefly, the conflict in the Donbass, did not arise because of economic reasons and other allegations asserted by Moscow (Putin). Instead, Russia sought to pry the region away from Ukraine, after Russia had summarily invaded and seized the Crimea.

That, after Russia had earlier, during the second George W. Bush Administration, attempted to seize Georgia; *after which,* Bush pushed for more expansion of NATO.

Poland being part of NATO, was good. But the immediate border states around Russia as parts of the so-called “former USSR,” have never seemed to me, at least, to be NATO candidates - *because* of Russia’s history of “requiring” buffer states on Russia’s border.

Recently, I read that Russia keeps moving/nudging the “cease fire” line within Georgia.

And I expect Russia to try and cut off Ukraine’s access to the Black Sea.

Given that possibility, NATO will resist Russian expansion that threatens the Romanian border. (It would be smart of Russia, to not venture further in Moldova.)

I suspect that at least half of the Democrats’ insistance on “Russia, Russia, Russia,” was the party’s aim to disrupt likely negotiations between President Trump and Russia.

And in the other half of the Democrats’ insistance, therein, is the nature of the left to resent any movement of Russia - away from the Democrat Party Plantation.

The Party soldiers having fancied for decades, that they have loyally marched in lockstep with the Kremlin, the Democrat Party seeks a bitter divorce fight.

Thanks for letting everybody know how narrow is your closed mind. It’s actually a relief to discover our former surface-level agreements were only coincidental, not based on any deep thinking on your part.
