Oct. 28 (UPI) — It’s been something of a mixed bag for prices at the pump this week with motor club AAA showing Friday the national average for a gallon of gasoline unchanged from a month ago.
AAA shows a national average retail price of $3.76 for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline. That’s down from the $3.82 average at this time last week, but unchanged from one month ago.

Up 10 cents this morning.
I saw 2.99 yesterday but it’s not the norm at all in GA.
The beatings will continue until morale improves!
And what happens when the latest theft from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve runs out? AKA, after the mid-term election.
It has been $4.59 or more in Phoenix for a long time.
Oh really?
Gas here in NH just jumped 40¢ a gallon overnight. Literally.
Gas was $0.12 when I was a kid. Just shows what they are doing to us. think it was $0.22 before Carter and went up over a dollar.
Wait until after the midterms!
How’s the price of diesel since all deliveries depend on diesel fuel
as well as agriculture, and grain harvest, and railroad locomotives, and 18 wheelers, and ....(more) ?
^^ This ^^
$4.10 here in SW PA
Up $0.05 to $4.05 since Wednesday for me.
Florida goes up $.18 on Tuesday. Everybody better fill up. It was nice having the tax holiday but DeSantis should’ve made it through the election. Nobody’s gonna like a higher gas one week before the election.
Up about a dime here in SE Ohio as of yesterday at 4 PM. You can tell which stations haven’t gotten a fresh delivery; they are still selling at last week’s price.
Interesting change is that the big stations near the Interstate are 10 to 20 cents higher than the small mom-and-pop convenience stores nearer to me. Used to be the opposite. New pattern started about 2-3 months ago.
“Fuel provider Mansfield Energy is now requesting a 72-hour notice for deliveries in order to obtain fuel and freight “since conditions are rapidly devolving,” according to a statement to clients. According to Mansfield, who added that Tennessee is “facing particularly significant issues,” fuel costs are running 30-80 cents higher than the market average in the most constrained locations.”
“As winter approaches, diesel inventories nationally are at their lowest seasonal level ever, and certain regions in the Northeast have started fuel rationing.”
I was just in Phoenix, and it is way higher than Northern AZ, which is unusual. We needed to stop in tiny Tacna and there was a big sign touting it for almost six. We drove a block over and got it for 3.99 at a Chevron. My take is Chevron’s are a little better right now
