Russian’s wasting time/resources in Mariupol is where they lost a lot of the momentum they could have used to take Mykolaiv and push towards Odessa.

There were NAZIS in the US prior to WWII.JFK’s dad was a nazi sympathizer and Charles Lindbergh was popular with the Nazis. The US has always been a left-leaning country, just like it is now. Read up on the Spanish Civil War and whose side we supported. Ever heard of the Condor Brigade?
Could be. The Azov certainly aren't calling the shots in Ukraine. They're just cannon fodder, as have been all common soldiers throughout history.

Certainly, those who want more and more government power tend to be leftists, because leftists want the state to control everything.
Well, the Ukrainians had just suffered a Holocaust level genocide in the 1930s. Seven to 11 million intentionally starved or shot under Stalin, depending on which statistics you believe.
So it's understandable if the Ukrainians viewed any anti-Stalin invader as a liberator. (Much like the Jews viewed Stalin's Red Army as liberators in 1945.) If you're being murdered, you don't judge the person who kills your killer.
