Murkowski knows that she is going to win easily (maybe not by a LOT, but her probability of winning is extremely high) and is rubbing our noses in it.
If the Republicans somehow eke out a 51-49 majority in the next Congress, she will either switch parties to give Democrats control, a la Judas Jim Jeffords, or just stay where she is and (along with Yertle & Romney) simply backstab us from close range instead of from across the aisle.
