I’m no lawyer, but I have the feeling that the feds are involved because of a “kidnapping” charge. Because, you know, Paul Pelosi was kidnapped in his own home at 2 AM, or something.

Maybe there is something more to it, but it seems ludicrous that this is a federal affair. But it allows the FBI to control the narrative.
