In a Democratic Republic, your vote goes to the candidate you think will, overall, represent your point of view best. In both cases, most votes = win. NOW, the people who shrieked that you should never, NEVER, EVER question the validity of an election... are suddenly ALL CRAZY ABOUT ELECTIONS!!!!! Yes, if the candidate that the people want is elected, and THEY think it is wrong... suddenly DEMOCRACY IS THREATENED!!! (You know, the system where the most votes wins. THAT democracy.)
