SARASOTA — Dan Smith moved from Ohio to Florida 26 years ago, and a Democrat hasn't won a governor's race since he arrived.

The state was always competitive when election time rolled around, though. Indeed, the last three governor’s races in Florida were decided by a percentage point or less.

This year feels different, said Smith, a retired plumber from Cincinnati and a registered Democrat. He cast his vote Wednesday for Democrat Charlie Crist in the governor’s race. But he doesn’t think Crist has much of a chance

Voted last Thursday, about 50 people in line. A sassy black lady and a nerdy white guy were escorted out by a poll worker, she was screaming nasty words while the nerd was using his pencil to count the voters in line.

Took about a half hour to vote.

Crist-ians should just late post term abort themselves. Effing moron sheeple. We should all help put them out of their misery, and ours.

This is obviously FAKE NEWS

Nobody on Earth would be stupid enough to vote for Charlie Crist. NOBODY!

They foul their own nest, and then move on to foul someone else's.

I voted in Texas, but did live in Florida and voted for Jeb in 94, and he lost.

I was in and out in five minutes. Everything was orderly, polite, efficient. When the time came for me to produce a photo ID, I absent mindedly pulled out a credit card (maybe because it’s usually what I’m handing over?). The poll worker didn’t miss a beat: “Sorry, sir; we don’t take those anymore.”
I love living here.

we pulled Florida back from the brink and we need to do the same state by state until we corner the left in California

I travel to Florida occasionally, sometimes in bursts and sometimes with a year or two in between but it seems that whenever I am in Florida when an election is being held Charlie Crist is running. How many times in a row does this guy need to lose before he’ll give it up?

Crist and Robert Francis O’rourke and Stacy Abrams make their living losing elections.

Good point. However if I were a dem I'd begin to think that Crist was at best a loser to get rid of and at worst a GOP plant who is intentionally losing all the important elections (he was once a republican, after all). Either way I'd want him to hang it up. And yet he keeps going.

I hope he runs for everything in Florida forever as long as he does it as a dem.

“The state was always competitive when election time rolled around, though. Indeed, the last three governor’s races in Florida were decided by a percentage point or less”

Because miami-dade and palm beach county always had shenanigans in the voting down there.

Governor DeSantis put a stop to that and cleaned it up........watch what happens.

Arizona isn’t lost yet but was sliding. We’re going to pull it back. Nevada was lost; we’re going to get it back. Maybe Colorado next?

Crist only got the nomination because no other Democrat wanted the nomination. None of them wanted to be the sheep that was going to be led to the slaughter everybody knew was coming.

Florida has consistently been a red state. Its been close. The hordes of Leftists from New Yaaaaak and Joissssey infesting Broward and Palm Beach and Dade counties nearly flipped the state but now welcome influxes of Leftugees as well as the younger Cubans realizing everything their parents told them about the socialists was correct have swung the state back from the brink.
