When I was in college, I worked at the Radio Shack store in Mission Valley (San Diego). Immediately next door was "The Maven". It was a very good Jewish deli. I ate there often. One morning I came to work to see a message on the shopping center marquee, "Ham it up at the Maven". Face palm. It's a kosher deli.

The Maven is long gone today. When visiting San Diego, my favorite deli is D. Z. Akins near La Mesa (off I-8). Always good and usually full of happy customers.
