NY House seat flipper Mike Lawler says it’s time for GOP to ditch Trump

The face of a red mini-wave in New York on Election Day says it’s time for the Republican Party to ditch former President Donald Trump and back another candidate for the White House in 2024.

“I would certainly like to see the party move forward. There are a lot of rising stars,” Congressman-elect Mike Lawler — who rocked the political world by defeating Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chairman — told The Post Thursday.

“Gov. Ron DeSantis has energized voters in the state of Florida. It’s always good to have new voices,” added Lawler, an assemblyman who will represent the Hudson Valley’s 17th District in Congress.

The GOP in New York picked up four House seats, including NY-17, increasing from seven to 11, which is being credited with potentially giving Republicans the margin to narrowly regain the House majority.

Sounds like it’s time to ditch the Republican Party and let them take their 40% up against the Democrat Party’s 40% [plus their Media and Big City vote fraud machines]...

I wondered about this too. Why all of a sudden is everyone talking about Donald Trump and what he is up to? Do we really have to be talking about the 2024 presidential election before any of these new Congressmen have even been sworn in?

For various reasons we still have not seen official certifications of some elections yet. Why don’t we just take one step at a time?

Donald Trump is super glue.

In a freakin' PANDEMIC he pulls in 2 - 6 thousand, 5 days a week and a couple of days TWO RALLIES !

Donald Trump is the attitude Americans want to follow and believe in.

Desiring a change is so . . . . progressive . . . . don'cha'think ?

And lose forevermore. Can’t support TRUMP as it’s all about him. He sucks the oxygen out of the room. Me Me Me.
His rallies 98% TRUMP, 2% candidates. That is why most of us can’t support him again.

He made himself a factor in the midterms by holding rallies. He should have waited until after the vote.

Why post this? What’s the point, to highlight this guy’s looney opinion? This clap trap serves no purpose other than to divide and distract.

Call it the establishment, our betters, the elite, the deep state, TPTB. In general, those people who think they have the ability to think for us because they're smart and we're stupid.

They've decided DeSantis the Yale + Harvard grad should be our next selected president.

They even put a down payment on him.

The GOP would be dead buried and gone if not for Trump.

Just an endless parade of losers like McQueeg and McRomney.

Trump cleared the decks for a guy like DeSantis and especially a superstar like Kari.

He may be a problem but look what he’s up against: the most vicious trash ever to inhabit this country.

These are the same creepozoids that like to push ‘the Era of Reagan is over.’ That is the same as saying the Era of America is over. The American Founding is fundamental and timeless
Individual freedom comes from God, NOT government.

I fear that Rat Party Headquarters, and their willing co-conspirators in the drive-by media, have succeeded in smearing DJT's reputation so badly and thoroughly with many, many voters (particularly younger ones) that it will never be recovered. To these voters 1.5% inflation,$1.89 a gallon gas,no wars, etc, etc, etc means nothing. All they think is "Orange Man bad". It's a lot like the Red Guards in China in the 1960s...a blind hatred that absolutely cannot be reasoned with.

It must be acknowledged that Rat Party Headquarters has the same power to influence public opinion as did Mao Tse Tung in the 1960s.
