Laxalt will almost definitely lose. There are 40K votes to come in Vegas and Reno and only 10K votes left in the rurals. CCM likely to win by at least 10K votes by the end.

I am glad for the projection, but I have figured all along that the Harry Reid machine would steal this one. It still may.

Problem is, a Democrat was elected as Secretary of State.

They just approved ranked choice like alaska, so unless he gets rid of mailing out ballots to every arroyo, cave, or sagebrush in nevada, it will be a pyrrhic victory in the long run

Interesting that there really is no way to guarantee an unbiased Secretary of State.

If the position is appointed, then the Secretary owes his job to the governor and his party.

If the position is gained by winning an election, then it will most likely be won by someone beholden to his party.

I don't suppose you could only allow independents to run for this office. That would probably be ruled unconstitutional.

There is a major flaw in democracy (even the republic form) when parties have so much control over the election process. But then we see this every ten years when the gerrymandering begins.

In Nevada? The Republicans Party backed Reid over Sharon Angle.

GOP lost the AG and SoS in Nevada. Rank choice voting was passed on ballot initiative. Not sure about control of the state legislature, but if it is divided or both remain Rat, the Gov will only be able to perform a delaying action but not really fix much especially with election integrity which will continue to be corrupted and consolidated by the Rats.

A backroom deal was made between the corrupt Nevada unions and the GOPe.

They thru a bone at us. The GOPe will let the Rats steal the senate seat in exchange for letting Lombardo win the governors race.

Think about it, why would someone vote for Joe Lombardo and not Adam Lexalt on the same ticket? Theft, pure theft.

Lombardo, a Republican, comes back from a big deficit to win an overall state race.

But his colleague, Laxalt, can't manage to stay ahead after leading his statewide race up until the final hours.

Hmmm. What's going on in Nevada?

If we lose AZ and NV senate races, then the Dems will have 50 and the runoff in Georgia will change little.

Yes, but the ballot measure on ranked choice voting has to pass again in 2024 before becoming law AFAIK.

They have been busy manufacturing votes over the past few days. The GOP has been negligent in making sure that the vote counting is secure. They can’t blame Trump. This is on them!

I don’t think ranked choice should be allowed in national elections. If they want to do it in state and local okay.
