Ahead of Trump’s announcement, Mitt Romney calls former president an ‘aging pitcher who keeps losing games’

That was Sen. Mitt Romney, a Utah Republican, telling MSNBC that he thinks it’s time to bench former President Donald Trump following the GOP’s somewhat lackluster showing in last week’s midterm elections.
Despite some pundits predicting a “red wave” of Republican victories that would reclaim control of Congress, Democrats managed to hold onto the Senate, and the GOP picked up fewer seats in the House than expected.
And when Romney said he thought Trump was going to announce running for president for a third time on Tuesday, that’s when the senator broke out his “aging pitcher” metaphor.
“I know there’s some fans that love him,” Romney said, “but it’s time to get off the mound, because we have a real strong bench.”
Romney has been one of the few Republicans who has been vocal in criticizing Trump over the years, including voting to impeach him twice.
Trump has returned fire at Romney, for example calling him a “super RINO,” or Republican in Name Only, after Senate Republicans reached a deal with Democrats on infrastructure PAVE,

And the point is, Trump must find a way to destroy the democrat party before they bring down the country. He is the tip of the arrow. His soldiers will follow but he must be the general with a battle plan and a war room of tactical geniuses capable of implementing the plan.
