“ Who will be his replacement?”

Republican Governor Ricketts will name a replacement to fill the vacancy until the next general election in 2024. Since Ricketts has been feuding with the Trump wing of the state party, I don’t have hopes for the best selection. But I sure hope I’m pleasantly surprised.

Current Republican Governor Pete Ricketts leaves office in January and has ceded the selection of sASSe’s replacement to incoming Republican Governor-elect Jim Pillen. Many speculate that Pillen will select Ricketts but no announcement has been made other than there’s a process in place to screen those who are interested.
Well, that back scratching arrangement sure is convenient.
