It is like a soap opera, same old thing with something new every day.

Unless congress is willing to open up the old congressional jail they will have a hard time getting anything out of the justice department.

These ridiculous nitwit Republicans are clearly indicating that they are going to waste all their time leading the House in wasteful nonsense instead of recovering just a few of our lost freedoms & liberties...

IOW, we’ll see a repeat, in a different wrapper, of the J6 and Trump investigations...

What a pathetic bench of stinking losers...

They have zero interest in closing the borders, establishing honest elections, and restoring some semblance of the Republic...

Only registered voters should be allowed to donate to elections. No corporations, unions, organizations, PACs, government entities, etc. should be allowed to donate to elections.

And the only elections that a registered voter should be allowed to donate to are those where he can vote, i.e. no Hollywood types giving money to the likes of Cheney.

Do Trump saw Wray’s name in the news and decided, based on that, that Wray would be the best person to lead the FBI? If tru, that would explain a lot.

How would that work for presidents as each state holds elections for a slate of Electors? We don’t vote directly for president and vice president.

My understanding is that there are only one or two public transportation systems that make a profit in the entire World. I believe these are a couple of bullet train routes in Japan, but then they like to cram customers in those trains like sardines.

It amazes me that even the NY subway system doesn't make a profit even though it was built out decades ago. All they have are salaries and maintenance costs and they can't even cover those with the fares they charge.

It seems, however, that such systems are as necessary as public works such as dams, power plants, etc. If they can't be run at a profit, then they need to be subsidized.

I spent a year and a half in LA without a car. I would take busses across the southland to visit family and friends. The busses in the richer neighborhoods would be lucky to get two or three passengers. But those in the poor neighborhoods or going downtown were crammed with low-paid workers. Sometimes I had to wait for a third bus before there was space to get on.

I can't see taking these away just because they can't be run at a profit.

WOW! You're an idiot.
Chris Christie recommending him never entered your mind?

Christie offered support for Wray nomination to White House

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie spoke privately with the White House to boost the nomination of Christopher Wray as FBI director, according to written remarks submitted to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Why didn’t you just copy and paste it?

“When is the FBI gonna quit interfering with elections?” Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, asked a news conference laying out the GOP’s investigative priorities next year. “2016, they spied on President Trump’s campaign. 2018, it was the Mueller investigation. 2020, they suppressed information about the Hunter Biden story. 2022, they raided the President’s home 91 days before an election.

Ironically, Republicans won’t need to make up sh;t or fabricate evidence to nail them all. Both Oversight Committee and Judiciary need to be ruthless and merciless.

Unfortunately, the USPS is a self-funding independent agency of the executive branch. The only way to impact it would be to NOT authorize extra funds when requested. It’s provided for in the Constitution, so it will be impossible to stop having only the House.

Fortunately, the USPS loses money every year. So, it's very easy to get leverage on the situation with the power of the purse. Yes, running a postal service is in the constitution, but using the postal service to deliver ballots is not something the Founders approved. Don't write that solutions are impossible. You are demonstrating your small mindedness. It's not helpful.

It took about 30 seconds using copy and paste to remedy the flaw.

Jordan appeared with Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., the next chairman of the House Oversight Committee, as the two laid out the top priorities for investigation and oversight in the House when Republicans take over in January. Both made clear an early focus would be on the Biden family’s international business dealings and how much the president participated in and benefitted from them.”

I don’t think Congress has the power to do that. Sounds like the executive branch’s bailiwick.

Congress funds the federal government. It can shut it down by not funding it. The House alone can shut things down by not funding them, not raising the debt ceiling, etc. It simply requires the will to get it done. That is what is lacking.

The Republicans need to fully support the USPS. They shouldn't pretend that it can be a stand-alone moneymaking business. If the USPS is required to deliver letters to every address in the US at a reasonable price, then it can't be expected to turn a profit. People in BFE Kansas are not going to pay FEDEX rates just to send a letter to their family in BFE Montana.

The issue here is massive mail in ballot fraud, in which the USPS is an active player. Addressing that problem is more important than receiving ordinary mail. The fact is that postal inefficiency is used as an excuse to extend "Election Day" for several days, and the counting of the ballots for weeks. It's time to set that right, and Republican majority in the House can do it by just saying no to more spending until the problem is solved. The question is do they have the will to do it?

Plugs Biden is not that smart, more on a common criminal level. Now Jill is a bit smarter and power hungry. I think they were all to happy to let the GOP have the House...blow up the economy and get rid of Plugs Biden, a house cleaning so to speak. This also could bite Trump if dirt comes out about the China virus vaccines...

But the postal workers can still deliver the mail, and Soros et al. will foot the bill, knowing that eventually the funding will be back in place and they’ll be reimbursed. They cannot forbid the postal workers from working, just not fund them. It’s a very limited power.

After being locked in a closet in DC the GOP has a lot of pent up energy for revenge.

Revenge is more of a reactionary Democrat thing. Republicans are after Justice, starting with the completely-corrupt "Justice Department."
