Former Trump White House communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin told her co-hosts Tuesday on “The View” that many in the Republican Party misunderstood outgoing National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci’s role in the COVID pandemic.
Griffin said, “Dr. Fauci is a friend of mine. It was such an honor to work with him during the height of COVID. Congratulations on an incredible 50-year career. I was surprised by what a boogeyman he came for the right. I did tell him early on if you go on TV too much, you’re going to put yourself out there and open yourself to criticism. His personal perspective of the role was to pad his pockets as deeply as possible from the kickbacks he received for being on various boards. I dont know that someone like him really cared about who was using him for what agenda so long as he profited.

Fauci certainly tried to misrepresent his “role”, including his role in funding Gain of Function research in Wuhan via grants bearded through a third research company to avoid prohibitions on what he was doing. Except for probably helping to cause the global pandemic, then contradicting himself in one lie after the other that left the public unsure what to believe*, he was a great guy. Fauci blew his own credibility by flip-flopping and politicizing everything he said.
